My wife and I are heading to Kennebunkport in late August...

Other that eating Lobster (where is the best place) what else should we be looking to do...Is Whale watching good this time of year...

I will have my camera with me and plan on getting a few photos of the area...any suggestions>

Any thoughts would be appreciated...well, at least thoughts of Kennebunkport.

I will also have my eyes open on the trip there from Pennsylvania....

In addition to what all have said so far - also when in Cape Porpoise - follow the road to Pier 77 Restaurant.
At the end you can see many lobster boats. The Ramp (below Pier 77) is a great place for a drink (a lot of character).

Try to make it to Timber Point Island (part of the Rachel Carson Preserve) - schedule to arrive around low tide so you can walk to the island.

I am going to purchase a 3-stop Hard Reverse ND Grad filter & A 6 Stop ND Filter!
I plan to use these for Sunrises & sunsets! Clouds?
What would I use to make clouds pop? 3 stop or 6 stop ND Grad Filter!
I am not interested on a brand because I already have a recommendation form a Photographer named Art Wolf!

By the way the brand name is X4 from Breakthrough Photography!

Is there a web sight that would help in determining what filters to use with a variety of landscape scenes!

Thank You,
Alex
I am going to purchase a 3-stop Hard Reverse ND Gr... (show quote)

In addition to the light and what you are trying to accomplish variables, f stop and focal length should also be considered. PhotographyLife.com just had a good article on this. Suggest you check this out:

10 recent captures of Great White Egrets. If you have the time please tell me your favorite(s). I am entering a photo contest and greatly value your opinions. I appreciate you looking....Vic and Sally

The contrast with the darker background, the reflection in the water and the light on the Egret's back make number 3 my choice --- all great photos.

Would suggest you check your ink to see if you have all ink available. I had a similar issue with my Canon Pixma Pro 100 and turned out my magenta was out even though the low supply message did not show up.
The magenta (and others) mix to get proper balance for color. Good luck.

Very good B&W work! A most-interesting presentation. Like the way the fence connects the hydrant with the pedestrian.

Thanks Voss - appreciate the comment

OddJobber is right on target. Great shot, mjhoch. Tho they aren't the main subject of this image, I like the varied tones of the building panels - I feel they create a lot of interest and help create the mood of the shot. As does the water pump. /Ralph
