Remember when we'd pull up and say "...fill 'er up".

With Ethyl.
The new electric meter looks out of place.

I do. It seems as if this one might be the only one left.
Nice photo, Pierre.

Cool shot Pierre.
I certainly do remember. The man would also clean your windshield, check the oil and tire pressure and say "thank you" with a smile.

And you wouldn't even have to ask them to check the oil and do the windshield, it was automatic. Nice pic too :)

Nice photo, Pierre.

Thanks John.
Most have been removed by the refining companies, as a safety measure.

And we could go for a nice drive for about a dollar.
Thanks Mark.

Wouldn't be surprised if there is an orphan underground storage tank although this may have had above ground tanks.

I like photos like this. You can just look and study it for awhile and let the imagination drift from place to place and from another time. I'm glad you shared this one.

Wonderful nostalgia image, Pierre. They would check your oil, wash your windows and say thank you when they brought back your change. Now you pump and pay yourself.

I haven't seen a pump attendant in a long time. It's a bygone era.
Thanks John.

Nice B&W work Pierre! Looks like it has been abandoned for quite a while. There are a lot of very interesting details to explore. It makes you contemplate just what it all look like when it was in its prime.

What? No Green Stamps? LOL

Nice one, Pierre. I suspect the gas in the pump isn't up to snuff anymore...

I remember filling my tank for three bucks!

Not in NJ - unlawful to pump your own gas. Still have pump attendants but the "service & courtesy" has mostly disappeared. I do have one service station nearby that will clean
windshield and say "thank you".
