I NEVER put my keys in my back pocket, but that time I did!

And why are things always found in the last place you look???

Because if you didn’t find it there, it wouldn’t have been the last place you looked.

These printer companies have us all under their thumb. They leave you no choice but to pay to play. Good luck in your search.

That's no excuse! I want to print on them.

Epson ET-8500 tank printer prints on cd’s/dvd’s. It has a special slide out tray to put the disk in.

The kitchen sink was draining slowly, so I began trying to clear it - slowly. Right now, I'm down to floor level with a new auger/snake I got last night. My regular augers were too wide at the end to make the sharp turns in the drainpipe. I ran about 24' of snake directly through the drainpipe. Still plugged. Putting a chemical into the pipe doesn't work because it doesn't go anywhere. I tried baking soda and vinegar, but it foams away as soon as I dump it in.

I'll try later with the snake and see if I can find a longer one.

Any suggestions will be gladly received.

Depending on the situation sometimes a ShopVac works.

I reluctantly ordered six Epson ink cartridges from B&H yesterday ($110). They are being delivered today! I was using the ink I got from LD (12 for $24), but the color for graphics isn't quite as good as I'd like.

I'm going to keep swapping out the cheap/expensive cartridges, depending on what I'm printing. It seems that no one makes an ink tank printer that prints on disks.

My Epson ET-8500 does.

You can still decide when to close it. Its purpose is to close the door in case you fail to do so after a period of time of your choosing. It can also be overridden easily if need be. Saved me on several occasions. Just an option no one else mentioned.

I have a Chamberlin opener and it can be programmed to automatically close the door after a set time of your choosing. PROBLEM SOLVED.

I was thinking about getting the Epson ET-8500 photo printer and would like to know if anyone on here owns one? If you do, I would appreciate your opinions as to build quality, photo print quality, features etc.

Thank you in advance for any info you can give.

What did "online" have to say about it?

Not much. They like me were just asking if anyone could ID it.

There's too much stuff hanging off it. What are the legs, and what are the things that aren't legs? It's looks like it's about the size of a football.

If that looks familiar to anyone here, you have my sympathy.

I’m just as stumped as you are as to all the stuff hanging off of it. On line, it was a video and it appeared as if something was moving inside of it.

Saw this online. Can anyone tell me if it is real and if so, what the hell is it?

I have wood floors in my computer room and it amazes me how much dust accumulates in a day or two after cleaning. Does anyone have experience using air purifiers do they really help?

Just my two cents, but I worked for a Sheetrock manufacturing company as a computer technician. I sometimes laugh about how concerned people get about dust in their computers. If you are at all familiar with the gypsum dust from Sheetrock (wallboard) you will understand what I’m talking about. It’s like talcum powder. When I would work on the desktop computers and needed to remove the covers for access, the internals looked like someone spray painted them with white paint a quarter of an inch thick. Everything was completely covered. I would have to blow them out with compressed air, just to identify the components I needed to get to. For example: upgrading memory, installing higher capacity hard drives etc. There were at least 75 computers and it was impossible to keep them clean. if I would clean the dust out, in two days it was right back. Not once, in seven years did I ever have a computer fail due to the extreme accumulation of dust.

I once heard a saying that rang true to me: "If a program is free, you are the commodity." Meaning, you get something for free, you are gonig to pay for it in some way, shape or form...Just purchase a modest backup plan with Dropbox or some other platform. Skip the free stuff, pay a few bucks and do it right.

I don’t need to purchase a modest backup plan. I just needed to have someone help me remember the name of the software I was using. That piece of software did exactly what I needed it to do. One helpful member has already provided precisely what I needed and I’m thankful for their help. As for your diatribe, it was useless.

If you don't know the name of the program how do you plan to restore the files on your backup drive to your new computer? Will you manually copy and paste or are your backups now useless?

To answer your question, copy and paste. I don’t really need the program. I like the program because with two clicks of the mouse, all the files that have been modified are updated on the backup drive in seconds.
