HOW do you update your ACR (RAW files preprocessor in Elements)? I have PSE 12 and use a Canon 80d and my PSE will not open the RAW photos. Pain in the butt but.... I have been making all the photos Digital Negative then can open in PSE 12. BUT then most need to be made into 32 bit instead of 64 bit.

I am a 73 yo woman with a passion for photography, love landscapes and birds as subjects for my photography. I have traveled the USA and Canada in my RV, and Europe (not by RV) but no Scandinavia or USSR. Would love to travel to China and Central America along with South America for photo opportunities. Have had a camera since I was about 8 years old, have taught some kids photography. I have belonged to a few Photo Clubs and Photographic Societies. I won the best photo of all the Blue and Red ribbon winners at the end of the year, about 8 years ago at Boston West Photographic Society. I think I was the most surprised but very proud. Very interested in seeing others' work.
Went on same boat but not at the same time as you did. I saw ONE puffin so they actually gave us free tickets for next year. GREAT company to do that and we will for sure take them up on it in June of '15

What camera gave you all that information and WHY?
I have the 100-400 and I LOVE the trombone lens and prefer it so.... if all else is the same I will stay with my trombone zoom.
was it the SD card or CF card? Usually once anything is Formated, it is GONE but if just deleted there is software of some of the cards' manufacturers. Check it out, look at the manufacturer's website and see if they have software that came with the card to retrieve your photos.
I would NEVER use CUT and paste, better to use COPY and paste just in case there is a problem transferring the photos from camera to computer you will still have the photos and have not CUT them from the camera card.
I would get a card reader for you type of card and put card in it, hook that up to the computer and transfer copies of photos to the computer and when you disconnect the card reader, check to make sure the photos made it to your Pictures folder and where you wanted them(named a folder in My pictures) then is when you can put the card back in the camera and remove the photos from the card by deleting. Every third of fourth time you should "format" your card which takes all remnants of old photos off the card.
I was talking with a Canon rep this weekend and he said it is a very different camera and you have to go in and pick styles of shooting and you can pin it to a custom place but it seemed there were more settings to play with before taking a photo for sharpness and contrast etc. I would suggest talking with Canon and get a little lesson on settings to get sharper photos etc.
You could use Hunts Photo online. They are local here and do online business as well, very reputable and you can see if you can get a better deal by calling them. They are NOT fly by nights! Also there is a local place here called Newtonville Camera in Newtonville(part of Newton, MA) and speak with them about what you want to buy and what the prices are you can buy it for and maybe they can 1) beat the price and 2) again very reputable owned by one family.

WOW this is so complicated. I have LR 5 and am at a loss, I guess I better go and get lessons. I have created a folder called My Lightroom folder and put every photo I want to work on into the folder as well as on external hard drive and on iPhoto. But am having all kinds of problems finding the photos and working on them and then Saving or Save As and have no idea how to " export" to photo processor to make 11x 14 etc photos.
Did he enter photos others took or did he take a photo of something others have taken before him and then he entered it into competition? IF he took someone else's photo off the internet etc and then entered it as his own the SHAME ON HIM.
6ft tall UNEXTENDED? What in gods name do you need it so tall without extending the legs? Extended would be like 8 or 9 ft high. What am I missing here?
When I downloaded it, it said to make sure I had something AIR on the computer before downloading. I downloaded anyway and it now says there is no program on my computer to open it so what have I missed? I just downloaded Adobe Air and got the downloader but do not see my lenses in there so....
