One of the best shots I have seen was of a ballerina in a piroette(sp) feet abour 4-6 -nches off the loor, taken with a Kodak brownie. When I first became intersested in photography, I was in SanDiego visit family, I bought a fold out camera at a pawn shop for $8 don't remember brand, (I think Kodak) any way I took a picture of 2 little black boys fishing through the cracks on the pier, no idea what I was doing I just followed the instructions inside the Kodak film box, I wish I had kept that photo. It was so simple then
Don't you miss the days when cars had personality?
He draws back when he sees something that looks like himself, he'll figure it out
Nice photos, and a very good of you to help them
"come here my little darlings'
My daughter in law gave me an XT, I get very good photos with it, I like it, its only 8 pixels but I don't plan on doing any billboards.
If I were to show them in a gallery I would use both, the 1st would appeal to the general public probably and the second to a musician. His instrument becomes an old friend after all those hours of practice and playing. the second relates that intimacy and that is what he sees just before he picks up the bow to play. make any sense?
There is a website called PHOTRIO that contains APUG which is dedicated to film, there you could all your questions answered.
That would be the same very old person who told his friend" see that animal in the field with those things hanging down in the back, I am going over and squeeze one and drink whatever comes out.
My I ask what you used to scan the negss or slides?
To get a feeling for wow photo's, look at a lot of others shots, go to photo sites and click on galleries and study the ones that get your attention, if it is "wow" to you then perhaps that is the style you will enjoy taking. Sometimes you can use props to get a good shot, as an example I am waiting for bright cloudy day to shoot the old 2 story schoolhouse I attended back in the 40', it's just an old broken down building but I will take an old Louis Slugger baseball bat and and an old flattened baseball glove and place it into the photo somewhere, the purpose is to tell a story. It won't be "wow" to everyone' but to those who grew up then will know what I am trying to say. The three step process to "wow" shoot, shoot, shoot.
My concern is the is about the sharpness of the SX50, looking at example of photos on fliker the MX1 seems to be much sharper. I went to the camera store and fondled many cameras, I did not like the bulk of some like the Nikon 5200 etc
and having tri-focals I cannot use the viewfinder. I knowthere are many folks on here that use the SX50, does anyone have experience withe the PentaxMX1? thank you
