Hi Jack:

Sorry about the late reply. I think the reach is ok. My granddaughter plays club soccer, so we are close to the action.

Your opinion it would be good stop action lens? I shoot now with
a 70-300/4.5.6. I went through a bunch of soccer pictures and
most shots were in the 90-130 range.

Ok, so whats the price again? And my personal email address is bofferman@bellsouth.net.

tks much / Bob

I have a Nikon 7000 and am about ready to get a 7200. I'm 78 and not really up on what everything can do. Will it work
well, and I shot strictly soccer of my granddaughter.

Let me know thanks. Bob

I've had that lens for a year and love it. However it is a bit heavy.

We just made the same trip. D7000 with Nikon 18-200. Took
4000 shots. Could not have taken a better lens.

I'm relatively new here, but like to read and listen rather that
venture opinions. However someone mentioned OpTech and
I went on their web-site, and have just placed my third order.
Love their Pro Loop Strap! Thanks UHH members for that tip!
This is the greatest site ever for me!

I've had one for a year, and it has performed perfectly for me. I take 100-200 shots at soccer games every weekend. Love the lens. Am going to get the Tamron 28-70 on Monday.
Have fun . . . I have.

New to UHH. Wish I had found it sooner. Can't tell you how
much I've learned. Thanks to all who contribute useful info.

I have a Nikon 5000 & 7000. I have the following lens.
10-24 Tamron, 18-200 Nikon, 50 Nikon, 70-300mm Tamron.

So does a teleconverter multiply the distance by it number ie:1.5 or 2.0 or whatever? And where would I get it and will it work on both of my cameras.

I'm with Walter. I have at least 20 2gb that I use on ventures.
If I'm out for 5 days, I use one a day and label them so I know
the sequence of the days of the trip. Also might want to slip a new one in for a different occasion.

Hi there:

I've used this lens for two years and have taken thousands of
action soccer pictures. Does a great job, and I would buy it again. bob.o
