Has anyone had any experience using the Tamron SP AF 2X Teleconverter with a Nikon AF-S 70-300mm 4.5 G VR? Am considering a purchase and wonder if it's worth while, as far as teleconverters go. Thanks in advance.

The lens has been rarely used and is in excellent condition. Original box, lens bag, both caps and warranty card. Buyer pays shipping and insurance. $675 firm. This is also an excellent portraiture lens. Please IM if interested.

Some more fisheyes from our swap meet. The last two pics may be hard to ID. It is a '59 Humber Super Snipe Series 11 (complete with leaning pole & power lines, lol).

You did good, as expected. :D

Taken along the shores at Musselburgh and Aberlady Bay in East Lothian.

The Sea Buckthorn was originally planted to stabilise the sand dunes but it now grow rampant right along the coast. It is now being investigated as a possible super food but it's very bitter to taste.

The caterpillar is I think that of the Fox Moth but I am happy to be corrected.

Photo Girl has said it all and I agree completely.

Found these guys in the front garden yesterday, not sure what sort of bees they are though...they are about 1/5th the size of a normal honey bee.
Nikon D7100.
Sigma 150mm Macro.
These aren't the best as I hand held and the bush was swaying around in the breeze...also cropped and not true macro as I couldn't get close enough with the size of the bush.

Really nice job SX; these are right on.

First Parish Church is located in Plymouth, MA. It was established by the Pilgrims and is the oldest church in America. The church was constructed by ship builders. You can see this in the ceiling. The ceiling is constructed like an upside down ship. Note there are no support columns anywhere in the church.

Many of the pilgrims who came over on the Mayflower are buried in the cemetery behind the church. The oldest graves had wooden headstones that deteriorated a long time ago.

John, lovely images of an amazing institution. Meaning no offience, I have to point out that the oldest church in "America," if defined as the USA, is actually the Cathedral of San Juan Bautista, the Roman Catholic cathedral of the Archdiocese of San Juan de Puerto Rico built by the Spanish in 1521. Destroyed by a hurricane, it was rebuilt in 1540. First Parish was constructed in 1636.

So, if you are ever in my neck of the woods the rum (i.e. Puerto Rican rum) and coke are on me. :D

Tom,
I agree with previous comments; but the first one did make me smile having recently lost two cats that had been with me for 18 years.

Just got the Minolta Rokkor-X MD 135mm f/2.8 (looks like it's about 1980's vintage) and it's nice!

Here is my first test shot wide open and it's a clean file, no smear, and nice and sharp.

I can't wait to take it for a nice spin at work tomorrow.

Not bad for a $70.00 lens.

Thats' the mirrorless camera advantage :)

I think you're going to have more fun than $70 can justify!
