I am taking two major wildlife photography trips this year, one to Alaska and one to 3 countries in Africa. I want to lighten my load so I'd like to purchase a new mirrorless system. Am waiting for the successor to the Sony A6000 and also looking at the Fuji xT1. I know the successor to the Sony hasn't been announced yet so all I can judge from so far is the current version. I do like the fact that the Fuji has the important controls on the top of the camera and not in some menu somewhere. I'm not really sure what lenses are out there for either one. Anyone have any suggestions or advice for me. Not travelling until July.

You will not be disappointed with the Sony A6000. I have the kit lens and the Sony/Zeiss 16-70 f4 Vario-Tesser the latter becoming a permanent attachment to the camera. I have been a user of the camera since launch in April 2014, its very portable and easy to use.

Thanks for the input. If you go to dyxum.com and then click on Lenses, you can get specifications and reviews of every A mount lens ever manufactured.

Thank you for this reference. I have spent hours reading through the comments about Sony lenses.

I don't have a Sony, and I didn't pay for it, I got it on the 30 day trial, I've already uninstalled it. I just have the time to learn a new program. But from what I saw and did in it, It appears to be a pretty in depth program.

Thank you

Has anyone experience of using "Capture One Express" for post photo processing? I would appreciate your views on the quality perhaps compared to Photoshop.

Many thanks in advance for your comments.

I do agree with St3v3M comments on this item. I have time and weather constraints, which restrict my photographic outings. When I see entries from the Florida sun week in week out it is frustrating but I cannot do much about it.

A weekly competition has rules, which to be fair to all entries, we should all abide by. There are 52 weeks in the year, if we miss entering the competition now and again so be it but lets not shoot the messenger.

Thinking of buying a Sony A600. Anyone using one.Any inputs.

I have quickly scanned the comments to your request so far. I have owned this camera since release, it is one of the easiest camera's to use I have ever owned with a little adjustment from Nikon. Starting initially in Intelligent Auto mode to obtain the feel of the camera, the features are easy to find by simply going back and fourth through the menu as you would in word. The first contributor said just buy it, my sentiments exactly.

Happy shooting.

My wife & I are planning a tour in the U.K. in September. Starting in Edenburgh and Ending in London, our tour travels through England's Lakes District, Wales (Deganwy, Caernarfon), then into the Cotswolds, Stonehenge, Bath, then London.

Does anyone have any "must see:) favorite spots worthy of a side-trip along our itinerary? Would love to hear from you.

Hi
The Northumberland Coast, on the east coast down from Edinburgh is well worth a trip going south, Alnwick Castle and Gardens is just one of the many sites. Please click on http://www.visitalnwick.org.uk/explore/map_nbland.htm you will not be disappointed.

Hi

Is any Sony A6000 user aware of a lens hood suitable to fit the standard 16-50mm zoom lens?

I'm interested in shooting indoor/outdoor still shots, and outdoor wild life shots. Can anyone with experience as a user and/or evaluator of the Sony Alpha a6000 camera comment on its pro's and con's?

I have been using the camera since its launch in April 2014. Very user friendly, light easy to use and above all good results. I have also been using it remotely via my I phone from which you can control the shutter and focal length. The 11 FPS is very useful for candid shots and the ones you would normally miss.
