My first serious camera (in 1965)was a Mamiya-Sekor 500 DTL.

You are way overthinking this. Drop your ISO down to 400 F/stop to 5.6., zoom into the subject (the Bird) and Reshoot. Quit trying to incorporate all the fancy features you have in your hands. Back to basics. It is very easy to try and incorporate all the new features in the technology we hold.

You mean like let the drug store do it?

Oh and by the way how much did your printer cost?

Most of my Printing these days is done at Costco (always the same store). All my photos can be improved by Post Processing, some more than others. After I PP, when I am sending them to Costco I make sure to check the "No Autocorrect" on their site. My results are very consistent. That's to say not all my photos are worthy of printing.

Topaz Dinoise works for me.

I found when buying a new camera body that noise is one of the key issues I look for. I have found the Nikon D series cameras have continually improve as new versions are introduced. Presently I shoot with a D7100 and regularly shoot up to ISO 1600. I'm sure the newer ones are even better. I dislike using a flash and have found this to be quite acceptable. I shoot in Raw+Jpeg and do my editing in Photoshop, latest online version. I have been using PS for about 20 years.

If you crop an image from a 30mp camera you just choose not to use all of the real estate of that processor chip. The pixels don't change as long as you don't enlarge or resize. I know people will have input here

From the response we've received so far it would appear that most people have no problem leaving the battery in the camera, checking occasionally. I find that interesting especially with the cost of todays DSLR bodies. Appreciate the responses.

Most computers have a internal battery to keep the eprom chip energized. it's usually good for a minimum of 5 years. Do todays DSLRs have an internal battery? Never given it much thought.

Kind of a crazy question. How many of you store your cameras with the battery left in the camera? How many take it out; and why? Is there any aging going on with the battery left in? Is there any benefit from keeping all those resisters and capacitors energized by leaving the battery in or does this age the camera? Does the camera age more or less with the battery left in or out. I told you it was a strange question. From a guy whose been shooting for over 50 years.

I have moved onto 2018cc but use to run CS6. Presently shooting with a D7100. I've got to believe we are stumbling over our own feet and the answer is right in front of us. Is there Adobe Bridge in CS6? File format is a NEF file. I shoot in both Jpeg and NEF and have no issues. Contact Adobe. I've got to believe it's something very simple.

Most of my PP is done with Photoshop although I do have others. Sharpening is the very last step in my PP. That way I can control how much sharpening to apply. It is easy to over sharpen.

I'll be interested in what you come up with.
Most of my lenses are zooms (14-24, 24-70, 70-200 all 2.8 (Nikon Trilogy), Nikon 105 2.8 Macro and a 17-270 Tamron.
With all that's said I don't believe zoom lenses are as sharp as primes. Think about it. Moving glass around in a zoom barrel lens has to have a price.
My next lens is a 35MM 1.8.

I am shooting with a D7100. Do many of you use the Auto Focus Fine Tune feature to fine tune your different lenses. I've used it in the past and am interested in what others think.

Thanks,

Good shooting
