I have been procrastinating about updating to Windows 10, in part hoping to wait until any bugs are removed. I am not looking forward to a prolonged process!

Is it time for me to update...or should I wait a bit more?

If I should go ahead, do you have any advice that will make the process easier?

Thanks for any advice.

I just upgraded two weeks ago, just backup your files in case Murphys law should intervene. Only problem I had was my addy book. the backup process went smoothly

In my career, each time I had to testify in court and they asked if I solemnly swear: I was sooooooooooooo tempted

Conversely, when they said: take the stand.........................lol

It's a shame that drones are getting such a bad rap because of a few idiots that mis-use them. I saw now they have made actual shotgun shells just to shoot down drones. I saw one video where a photographer was flying one high up over a house fire and the firefighters started to hose it down. Fortunately he was able to steer it away and avoid damage. The drone was not causing any issue at the scene, unless there were choppers in the vicinity. That's a real problem with them.

Even birds don't like them, by evidence of the hawk video link I posted a couple weeks ago.

Now I heard last night on the news they are banning drones from covering the Pope's visit.

If people would just use common sense there would not be so many problems. I foresee the day when drones could replace helicopters for a lot of events (good and bad). It's just like any other technology, people will find a lot of good uses for it. Then there are those who just must do evil. OK I'm done ranting. Thanks for listening...peace.

I was considering getting one just for fun, but now, not so sure.

Several years ago, my brother-in-law gave me this old Savage M99 take-down rifle in .300 Savage caliber. His father bought the rifle, brand new, in 1937! It has been on two actual hunting trips. The rest of the time, it resided in his closet!

Occasionally, I take it out and shoot it just to be sure it's "healthy." It shoots like gang busters!

These old take-down models are fairly rare, especially one that's this clean.

I thought some of you gun enthusiasts might enjoy taking a look at it.
Several years ago, my brother-in-law gave me this ... (show quote)

My father was an accomplished gunsmith and rifleman. Many times I saw him take a rifle out of the cabinet, shoulder it, then wipe it down with a Rigg impregnated shammi, a wry smile on his face and return it to its place. We had firearms in the house all the time. I used to walk two miles to the base of the mountain with a .22 Winchester slinged on my shoulder to go hunting. We didnt have all this mass shooting, and hysteria in the 1960s. Its about poor parenting, and a morally corrupt nation.
