Didn't Jimi Hendrix have Purple Haze?
Randymoe, I got mine at
www.batteryjunction.com. I find interesting items there. Good prices. Been using them for several years, always fast service and communications about what is happening with orders. I am on their email list and got one announcing the availability of the new Eneloops and ordered the next day. Got email about my order that said they didn't have enough in stock to meet the initial demand and were back ordered. About a week later I got another email saying they were shipped. They always have some sale going on.
A couple of other sites I get interesting stuff from are
www.all-battery.com and
www.lighthound.com. The last one carries replacement flashlight bulbs and LED modules that are often higher output and/or longer run time than factory stock in a flashlight. I got a couple that upgraded a few Surefire flashlights.

I am having trouble with rechargeable AA batteries, and looked up the reviews and the Sanyo NEW 1500 eneloop came up with a good review. Has any one had an experience with them. About 25% of the ones I have been buying do not hold up to the charging, even some times before being charge do not come up to voltage. I have meter for checking them so I can cull the bad ones.
Sanyo is the largest battery maker in the world. I have used their Eneloop AA NIMH rechargeables for years (the one with white wrap, 1900 mAh) and just took delivery of their new black wrap 2400 mAh AA batteries that are suppose to be less cold temp sensitive and last longer. Well, these NEW batteries are only 1.2 volts and therefore be underpowered for some products; or, the device will not function for as long a time. Unless, of course, the device is designed for 1.2 volts.
Some tips on NIMH batteries. I have gotten them to last years by charging them after they have been discharged no more than 50% and 10-30% discharge is even better. They love to be only partially discharged and then recharged. Don't run them down like NiCAd batteries before recharging them.
I have 2 of the white wrap Batteries that have been used in my radar detector for about 3 years, continuously. I have just, Friday last week, put a pair of the new black Label (high capacity for professional use) in the detector for a comparison. I'll report back in a few years.
The Eneloops are fine batteries.

Thanks to all that provided ideas and S/W.
Photographers have been writing notes about their image taking since the quill pen...well, almost. We write down shutter speed, aperture, flash setting, white balance, filter(s), exposure compensation, and who knows what. Does anyone know if someone has created a template for photographers to keep shooting notes? The template would have preprinted categories and the user just fills in the blanks.
If not, how about a project for an UHHer?
Kroll has a forensic disk service and have recovered files from disks that have had physical damage, burned and otherwise horribly abused. There service is expensive but if your data is priceless......well. I had a disk at work that scrambled the file index and no files could be read. I brought it to Kroll and they recovered about 99% of the data on the disk. It saved my bacon. Check their web site for services and references.
I have a PEN LP-2 that I really like. It came with a 14-42 II lens but I am reviewing other lenses to add. The PM is a micro 4/3 (MFT) and there are quite a lot (relatively speaking) of those lenses available from Olympus, Panasonic and others. In addition, there are adapters that will adapt Olympus OM series, Nikon, Canon, Leica and other classic lenses to the MFT mount.
At the moment, I cannot decide on the 42-150 or one of the pancake prime lenses for my next lens.
The smarty answer is "too many but not enough."
I received my email with link and serial number last night and downloaded the Windows file this morning (714MB).

Hi Hipshot ... just curious ... when did you first contact Adobe? it's going on three weeks for me and I'm still in "pending" mode (even though they've given me an order number)

Are you sure it's an order number and not a case number?

I contacted them on line about 2-3 weeks ago. I have two Adobe customer accounts, one personal and one from my office. I kept checking in looking for a status update but did not hear until I got the email, yesterday. In fact, if I did not hear I was planning to phone, tomorrow.
The email includes both a case number and an order number. I will post when I get the email with the download link and a serial number.
