I am thinking of looking at an Olympus "PEN" model.
It's a PEN E-PM1. (a 4/3rds sensor).
There are many lens to chose from nowadays.
Anybody got advice??

great camera company. loved the old om-1 amd om-2. they have a new dslr that looks like the om film cameras. go to a camera store and try one hands on to see if you like it.

I own an Olympus e-520. The only negative I have is no 3rd party lenses, or very few. The PEN system may be the same. Gary

from what I have seen at local camera shop in my area PEN lenses are almost double that of 4/3 mount glass still offered by Olympus...I shoot an "ollie" and love it..I have the E420 and looking at either an E3 or E5 body next...The PEN system has some incredible features but is small in my hands...have you actually held and tried one? that in itself may be your best guide. Good Luck!

I have a PEN LP-2 that I really like. It came with a 14-42 II lens but I am reviewing other lenses to add. The PM is a micro 4/3 (MFT) and there are quite a lot (relatively speaking) of those lenses available from Olympus, Panasonic and others. In addition, there are adapters that will adapt Olympus OM series, Nikon, Canon, Leica and other classic lenses to the MFT mount.

At the moment, I cannot decide on the 42-150 or one of the pancake prime lenses for my next lens.
