how many lenses?

i keep hearing how canon and nikon have so many lenses to pick from. so how many of your lenses would you keep if you were under a limit?
for my sony 1-sony 50mm f 1.8
2- sony 16-80 mm zeiss
3-minolta maxxum 100-300mm
pentax 645d
1-pentax 45mm f 2.8
2- pentax 75mm f 2.8 auto focus
3- pentax 80-160 mm
i would sell the others i talked myself into buying and put the money back into the bank.

I guess I have 8 or so minolta lenses from 28, 505, 135 75-300, 400 and a few others.
Canon wise 100mm 2.8, 18-200, 28-135, 100-400, 18-55, 70-300. on the want one list, ultra wide.

My limit would be about 12 lenses.
My current line up is about 7.
I still need to get 5 more.

I am afraid to drag them all out of the 4 cases and count them. Probably easily over 20 total.

I have three right now, Nikkor 50mm 1.8 G, 28-300mm 3.5-5.6, and a Tamron 10-24mm. I just got back into photography a little over a year ago. I may not buy a large quantity of lenses but I've got my eye on some high quality Nikkor lenses down the line after I get the D800.

I count 45, and there are a few I still need to get. Mind you, I collect cameras and most of the bodies came with a couple of lenses.

Hi, Using Pat's criteria I still have 2 to get. MT has more than I hope I'll ever need(or,more likely want). I am not counting some slr film camera lenses. Have fun and keep shootin'. Mike

I have 3 for my Nikon D3100
18-55mm kit lens
55-300mm
and my newest, 35mm f/1.8
I'd like to get maybe 2 more a 40mm or 60mm micro and an 600-800mm tele if it didnt break the bank!

I've got the Canon 50mm 1.8, 18-135mm IS, 70-300mm IS (thinking of selling), and 70-200mm 2.8 IS. Just tonight I bought a Tamron 28-75mm 2.8. I also have the 2x for the 70-200mm.
Then I'll save up and get the 85mm 1.8, 135mm 2.0, and maybe the 10-24mm or something like that and sell the 18-135mm too.

ok guys,i was just courious. i have 13 lenses between 2 cameras,but if i was limited to 3 each with the ones i chose and 2 converters i could make it for thr next 30 yrs.
