Terrific! I won tickets to see him back in the 90's and we heard him in DC at the Verizon Center. Not the best place for his voice but we enjoyed most of the evening till some rookie on the sound board boosted the sound too loud and ruined the last 1/3 of the evening. When we were leaving I saw some albums for sale and we bought one. We went home anis soul and it showed. I put it on my turntable and it was fantastic. He wasn't trying to blast out to the last row he was singing from heart and to overpower his audience. Thanks for posting that, thanks very much!

We worked in rescue years ago for Samoyeds. A rescue boy kept killing the squeakers we thought. Then one day he wouldn't eat. We thought it might be bloat so we rushed him to our vet and an x-ray showed a stomach full of squeakers. A shave of the belly and an operation later they pulled 13 out of him. HE WOULD TAKE THE TOY OUTSIDE WITH HIM AND "KILL" IT OUT THERE. Fifteen hundred and thirty dollars later we got him back home and decided to keep him. His name was The Jolly Man. He never had a smile leave his face, ever. He never got another toy with one of those squeaks in it ever again.

USCG Radioman E-5 1965-1969. Ship to shore communications: voice, radio teletype and sending and receiving Morse code. Was crypto trained and had to decode military traffic once in a while. Most of my work was with fishing boats and freighters. Loved the work but time to move on at the end of 4.

A new and upgraded Clancy Brothers & Tommy Maker. I saw them many years ago in person and still have their vinyl records. This group is really good and would love to hear them in person.
Tks for the link!

Due to the fact that I live in Texas, AMEN! I went to an office to get my new registration and I had a confirmed time of 2PM, but was there early, I went up to the window and they directed me to the waiting area where I sat and waited for 20 minutes. There were no other customers for any of the three clerks and one woman was on her phone the whole time with her sister about a reunion they were planning. Should have stayed in Va.

Amen. brother!! I'm 78 and have a Samoyed lying right beside me. My sister was here two weeks ago and said I should get rid on the dog. "You can't take care of him and you should get rid of him. I feed him on time, he gets out to do his business and I throw toys for him to attack and kill that little squeaker. He sleeps beside my bed on the ceramic tile to stay cool and he loves it. I have very bad legs and can't take him for walks but my neighbor helps there. I have three great neighbors. My sister and my niece only seem to worry about how much I have and how much there will be left for them and my great nieces and great nephew. Enuf said.

Yes, it surely does get worse. Heart attack 13 years ago and then new valve. 10 years of good heart health but neuropathy started to worsen and they opened a few valves in my leg but no real help. Stint in my heart last year and it is getting but now need a walker to get around. The bottom of my feet feel like sponges and no feeling of pain. Getting old just has its inconveniences to deal with. BUT, not giving up! Still got lots of things to do with my life and am going to do them. Italy and Normandy in the future.

I still have both of my A1's and all the lenses and filters etc. I still have two rolls of Kodak 25 ASA B&W Accufine to start working on this summer. Film has been sealed and frozen for 30 years. Kodak doesn't make Accufine any more. Extremely fine grained B&W film. Best I ever used. Have fun with them. I'm also going to back to slides again.

My wife and I went in the end of Sepy and stayed at Many Glacier Hotel and it was fantastic. Big fireplaces in the huge lobby and Young people who had worked there during the summer entertaining us with music and some great stories. I heartily reccomend Many Glacier Lodge. We were sitting there listening to this guy play guitar and singing and I looked over at my wife and she was crying because she had never experienced anything like this herself. Her family never went on a vacation, ever.

I'm 78 and have not had an insurance claim is 30 years. That was a deer who ran out in front of me on a 65 MPH highway and too close to stop or avoid. My insurance was under $500.00 for 6 Months in Va. but move here to Texas and it went to $900.00 and then to over a grand. I finally found a company to insure me for 20% higher than Va. Lots of hard work to get that for a driver who had not had an accident since 1962. I was at fault in my mothers 1963 Buick Le Sabre in November of that year, 1962. All those years with no accidents and no claims. What one agent told me was that the DUI rate here is very high and so everybody's rate goes way up. Just keep the govt. out of it or it will really go thru the roof.

I had an account with BofA in 1969. I made a deposit of 250.00 in cash one day then wrote a check to the electric company. It was returned NonSuficntFunds. Furious, I went to the branch and asked why. They hemed and hawed and said that the cash deposit had not been credited to the account I told them that it was not a check but green US dollars I deposited and it should have been in my account the second the receipt was issued. Totally furious with his statement and closed the account. Was with a few banks and then I needed a credit card so my boss called Mr. Taylor Burke of Burke and Herbert Bank and Trust. I filled out his application and then opened a checking account and savings account. My account is still there in Alexandria, Virginia and I live in Texas. I need cash, any ATM will do because my bank pays the fee. My checking account is free. Really free. It is the oldest bank in Va., and the best bank in the USA.
