I'm a seamstress, I love to take flat fabric and make wearable items out of it, kind of an artform, and very relaxing. Quilting is by far my favorite. Draperies would be a close second. However, taking the last couple of years into consideration, all I can say is "Thank God my serger comes with a carrying case to keep the dust out" LOL.
I've been doing a lot of genealogy research lately(not that you can trust all the info on genealogy.com) but I traced one part of the family back to Zeus. hahahhahaha, what a crock! On the other hand, that means Medusa is a long lost cousin of mine LOL, now that I find quite humorous.
We have 5 dogs(3 of them are herding dogs) I walk 3 miles every morning with one or the other of them. 4 of them sleep in the bed with me, whoever invented large sized beds was a genius.
We are getting ready to move to Bowling Green, Kentucky next year. I have Cherokee ancestors on both sides of my family so I am really looking forward to photographing Tennessee and the surrounding area, but the main reason for moving out of AZ is the dogs. We need real grass for them (not rock yards) and room for them to run.
Probably more information that y'all wanted to know, but one thing you will learn about me is :
Whatever comes up comes out !

I never even see the money. It gets direct deposited, I always pay with the debit card. LOL I don't remember actually carrying *cash* since my last vacation in 2007. Is that sad or what? hahhahahaha

I think it's just a growing curve, soon the ones that are only here for ego stoking will fade away and we will be left with those who are truly here to learn.

We just have to wait it out.

good point....

I agree the few with an attitude will lose interest because actually learning isn't what they come here for. Please don't let a few bad apples spoil the whole batch. There are those of us here that appreciate and welcome any and all input. Taking advantage of the wealth of experience on this site is how we are going to continue to learn, grow, and truly experience all that the art of photography has to offer.

No need to stress :) If you are at a loss for time to *practise* why not try some simple editing software like Picasa. Easy to use and it's a free download. Then you can take your time and learn at your own pace. Just an opinion :).

Depending on how lazy I want to be of course. Picasa is a simple tool for enhancing photos. I also use Photoshop cs5 when more manipulation is necessary such as removing unwanted objects etc. I totally agree though no one program does everything to perfection, Choices are a good thing.

Sure nice to meet you..
How long have you been shooting photogrl57?[/quote]

Only 5 years. So I am still learning. I just love capturing images of what I see. There is so much beauty around us. And things are constantly changing. The images help me to remember how I was feeling that particular day. Up until now I have been shooting everything on auto, totally ignoring the potential of the equipment that I have. So under those circumstances this site has truly been an inspiration to me.
