Just jump right in and tell us what you like to do besides photography. I know some people live for that (and I am in that catagory) but I also enjoy being on the computer, bowling, gardening, making new friends, spending time with family and friends. Like this afternoon my husband and I are going to play cards, and relax with his sister and her husband. My husband works a second job with his own business mowing, removing snow, cleaning up leaves, and a few other odds and ends as well as his 40 hour plus job. I think he especially needs some down time to socialize and relax (That is hard for him to do) he stays on the go.
I think this site is about as addictive as Facebook, LOL

My first love is God and His Word. I love books, reading and researching, whatever I'm interested in knowing more about.
I like photography, swimming, hiking and camping and cooking.
I've handmade a quilt, made my external harddrive and changed an alternator in my car, amongst other things.
My fav TV shows are NCIS, AI and now X-Factor. Like movies too.
Hate cleaning the bathroom, but someone's got to do it! :-)

Nice to see people connecting and knowing what they like and/or do other than just photography. We all like that or we would not be on this forum!!
I see we have some things in common, I also hate cleaning the bathroom. But you are right about one thing, someone has got to do it!!! :-P

I love to read, I spend many hours doing that. I have spent a few hours on here reading. Blueeyes I think you are right about this site being more addictive than FB.
I love to take photos, my favorite subject is my grandson. I also scrapbook many of the pictures that I take, I do most of my cropping with scissors. : )
I don't watch too much TV. I do sew and make quilts
Call me weird but I like to clean the bathroom, as long as it has only has one toilet, I was a custodian in a school for 18 years, I would clean 25 toilets a day. Then last year they laid off all the regular people and brought in a company.
Oh well God knew that would happen. I was fortunate enough to meet someone who needed a live in caretaker, and I have moved into a wonderful home on a lake.

So glad that you posted on this subject!! I think it so much nicer to feel you know a little something more about the people you are talking with on here. I enjoy making new friends so I do enjoy reading about them!

blueeyes...great idea....when I don't have the camera in hand I'm in my quilting studio....2 expensive hobbies! Most of them are wedding/baby presents...but I have sold them. My studio is the size of a 2 car garage....and full of fabric. If anyone thinks it's hard selling photographs...try selling a quilt in this market! I have found that photography has really widened my creative eye in quilting. Observing colors that are out there naturally has altered the way I handle color in the quilts.

betsout - thanks for your post! Wow, sounds like you have quite a bit of fabric! I like doing crafts, but never could get into quilting.

I LOVE GARDENING (WENT OUT WITH THE UMBRELLA IN THE RAIN THIS EVENING TO TAKE PICTURES OF OUR ANGEL PLANTS) , FISHING, CAMPING,TRAVELING,READING, SEWING, CRAFTS AND TAKING CARE OF MY WONDERFUL HUSBAND...ABOVE ALL I GIVE GOD ALL THE GLORY FOR ALLOWING ME TO DO THESE THINGS..LIVE IN WESTERN GA. BUT LIVED IN N.C. ALL MY LIFE UNTIL 3 YEARS AGO. LOVE THESE SITES AND SUBJECTS ON HERE.....

I just found this site yesterday and am looking forward to posting and getting feedback.
I recently retired and bought a DSLR and have really gotten more into taking pic. It seems like no matter what I do, my photography is tied up with it. Also, working with my computer, restoring old or damaged pix for fun. I love sports, especially college, although attend some high school or pro sports in the area. I always have my outfit handy and get asked to take pix of tailgaters, etc. My grandkids are always a joy. Also, I like target shooting.
I enjoy travel and the wonders of nature. My "ultimate" goal is to take pictures of bald eagles. There are winter nesting sites in Eastern Kansas so hope to be able to accomplish this by spring.

Well outside of my love for photography, I sometimes draw as an artist things that I have taken pictures of. I also enjoy traditional archery, the great outdoors and spending a lot of time with our grand children.

I like to play in the garden.Just got done canning Salsa Verde.Did alot of canning the year.Tomatoes,Jelly,corn relish.Canning food is a dying breed.Just want to have fresh for the cold Mich winter.
