I was there 3 months ago(Oct 2018) by myself.
Cuzco is over 11,000 feet and can cause high altitude sickness; I took some medications, my oxygen level dropped below 90 but no high altitude symptoms.
I carried my D610(FF) with 24-85, a tripod for panoramic and remote for selfies; no need for long lens.
I bought the morning session ticket to MP and stayed till it closed at 5pm(nobody checks tickets on exit); it rained that afternoon.
If you have the chance, see Rainbow Mountain(Alt 17,000) last; it's a whole day trip and no easy to hike up.

I mostly use M mode with auto-ISO and exposure compensation +/- button.
Especially in low light shooting with a full manual flash attached; the intensity dial on my flash is compensated by how much lowering the button.
Wonder if this technique is commonly used? Please comment

Aree, especially to lighten up the faces

Recently I discovered this ICE through my Window Explorer to stitch my panoramic files.
I found it to be much more efficient in speed and memory usage than any other tools I have used; it can process NEF files directly too.
The ICE application is found in my C: program files/Microsoft Research folder
I didn't not purchase it and wonder how it got there.
I want to share this gem with everybody; perhaps everybody knew about it except me.
Please input your experience and evaluation with it.

I had the Nikon D610 since 2014, have been shooting Raw + jpg all the time. It still puzzles me which settings are affecting the raw result? Since its raw format NEF can be viewed by Faststone as well as Lightroom, it seems most settings will affect the initial image viewing.
I would like to know what is your settings. Which one will affecting the raw result?
Here is from my SHOOTING MENU settings(or any other settings)

I think the no-photo signs include no cell phone.
Some museum says no flash, or no tripods, but I have not seen "no interchangeable lens" signs.
It makes me feel/act like a thief of stealing a few shots there.
Can flash ruin the color pigment of a painting or carpet? Any scientific proof?

I have been using it to downloading, organizing, viewing for over 10 years.
It allows you to view jpg and NEF(Nikon Raw) files; no dng or mp4 files
On the full view mode of your picture, the info you want to know will appear upon moving your mouse pointer to the right edge.

I would be confused which prime I should use; I guess the best way would be to try all per instance.
You would be the busiest shooter switching lens. Beware of dust exposure to you camera sensor.

that's about right, For most of my trip 2 mos ago, I just had my 24-85mm on my D610.
Plan to stay at Cuzco a few more days, it is a very interesting towns and a hub to visit surrounding towns/ruins of the Sacred Valley.
Buy the morning session ticket for Machu Picchu and you can stay till it closes, nobody check ticket on exit.
Don't hang your camera set onto your neck unless you want a sore neck; I had mine hung on to the straps of my backpack.
For wide angle, shoot a few for panoramic stitching is better than a fish eye view.
If you have the chance, visit Rainbow Mountain(17,000ft). It was a long way hiking up. I had to stop every 3 mins for half min because of the thin air and I experienced a hail storm at the summit.

Excellent program for free; I used it for years. Many great features such as organizes your photo by date during downloading, batch resizing/renaming, 1 click enlargement for viewing, 1 click to access external softwares, 1 click to copy photo to a selection of folders, quick simply editor, beside photo comparison which I believe should be viewed on the same monitor, because I find it very difficult to tune two monitors to identical(even same brand of different models).

If you see there are certain number of items with Win File Explorer but could not view them. They may be hidden, use Google to search "how to read hidden files". Yours might not be the case, but worth a try.

An used D610/D710 would not cost much more than an used D7200; you will enjoy more.

Simple arithmatics; you should have enough, format and number them before you go.
One 64G can store 2600+ (24MP) raws, you have 5 of them which allows you to shoot 13K pictures, that means average of 1K per day(100/hr, 1.5/min), make sure you watch your steps and wallet, and have 2 extra batteries and 2 chargers to spare.

Yes/no, I don't see all three folders but I can see all the pictures taken.
Now, after a little research, I know how to view those hidden files.
Insert the Chip to PC: select View(on top bar) : options : change folders and search options : view : show hidden files, folders , drives.
then all my hidden folders and files show up.

In my camera, I performed Menu: Hide image: Deselect All
Menu:Playback: D610/All/Current, it doesn't show all folders; but shows all pictures on D610/All.
Then I connected my camera to my PC using a micro-USB cord, and can see all three folders.
I copy and paste the folders from my camera to my PC and used Faststone to download them to my picture folders. Now I have all my pictures back.

If I insert the chip to my PC, I see no folders at all; because I performed Apply- hidden on the only one folder there.
I don't think I reformatted my chip on my PC, I could see my earlier pictures during my vacation.
My D610 stored the picture on a new folder after 800-1000 raws taken; and somehow hide my earlier two folders; so I thought I had lost 1700+ pictures. I hope somebody can explain why this happened.
Now, in my chip, all my pictures are there but hidden.
Much appreciate if any one can tell me how to recover or un-hide those folders/pictures.
