I believe that another reason not to accept AMEX is that they will come back on them if there are problems with product.

SCAM ALERT
Please let us know which supplier it was after you get it returned etc. This is a scam without a doubt. Asking for another credit card is the give away here.
Unscrupulous mail order places do not like AmX since it costs them more to process. And they are hoping you will then provide themwith your next most active card number which is, more often than not, a "debit" card with a credit card symbol on it. They can be long gone with the debit card number and you will have little or no recourse. The stories I could tell.
Cancel the order, ask to have an e-mail notification of the charge back when the RMA is received and contest any charges.
Notify the credit card provider immediately to cancel the number and monitor your credit card charges hourly until they tell you the card has been cancelled. You could easily have unauthorized charges by now.
Holidays and credit cards make it way too easy for customers to get cheated just like this sequence you experienced.
SCAM ALERT br br Please let us know which supplie... (

Howdeee, I was in Hong Kong a few times and ran into the same situation, then they would hold out their hand for a Hong Kong dollar, Then you could take as many pictures as you liked. With a smile :)

Howdeee, Im from Idaho, and recently purchased my third slr camera. Been trying to get better at taking pictures so here is where I am. My first slr was a 35 mm Minolta, second slr was dslr, a Konica Minolta because it would take same lens as my 35 mm. Now I have purchased Nikon D5100 and would like to be able to take advantage of more of its features, so this is where Im starting. Thanks for any help I receive. Ill try to post a couple of pictures to show you where Im starting at. PHFoto
