Has anyone dealt with Roberts in Indiana?
I went on the net and they seem to have a decent reputation. However, I value your input and appreciate if you'd share your experience with me.
I have bought some film stuff(Pentax M42 lenses) and found them to be good people to deal with.

I'd be happy to respond to your question, but I'm not sure what it is. Seems as though you have several typos or spellcheck ran amuck.

Adobe Photoshop Lightroom is a purpose written application for Photography. It has a moderate-steep learning curve, but starting with Lightroom will prevent any bad habits from taking root in your workflow. But when you "get it," you'll wonder why you bothered with anything else. Lightroom's cataloging, organizing and adjustment capabilities are world class, the standard that all competitors strive to copy. Unless you want to get deeply into the creative aspect of photography, working with layers, filters, pixel peeping, then Lightroom is the place to start.
Do you want to move on to modifying photographs as art? Get deep into retouching? Then Adobe Photoshop is for you. It has an Everest scale learning curve, and after 5 years, I pick up new techniques all the time.
Scan the YouTubes, see if your local camera store or community college has classes.

Never had this problem with any other camera......Ive tried downloading both with the cord to the camera connection and the memory card directly into the computer. i have a mac i photo program...... the new photos arent downloading for some reason. any ideas?
dont know if im missing something, but its getting really frustrating. anyone else have these issues? just hope i can figure it out soon! thanks for any suggestions
Is the camera new? iPhoto is no longer being upgraded. Not enough information here to diagnose.

Interesting that you consider the 24-70 zoom preferable to the 3 primes. Thanks RGP.
Only one lens to worry about. That is better than carrying 3 lenses and trying to switch from one to the other. I would second the 28-300 & also would consider the 24-120 f4.

What about Apple Fritters?
I upgraded 2 iMac 27", one a Retina, and one a 2011, plus a MacBook Pro. The 2011 iMac wiped the hard drive when I updated. the other 2 did just fine. I did a D.O.D. erase and reloaded the 2011 and reloaded from a Time Machine backup and all is fine. I am not sure that I didn't make a mistake on the 2011 so all in all I can't say I had any problems.
Where will you be staying, and what will you be driving?

The case you have in the link is one that the camera has to come out of to use. The one the OP is talking about if I have not completely lost my memory was a hard case that used the tripod mount as the fastener to hold the case on the camera. This is one that I think he is talking about.

I think you might consider ejecting your SD card in the software BEFORE you eject out of the hardware. But as long as it is not writing or reading from the SD, it might not matter. On my MacBook Pro, I have rendered an USB memory stick unusable because I didn't eject in the software first, and it corrupted the USB memory stick permanently. At least that is why I think it stopped working.
Have you tried using disk utility to repair the usb memory stick? If the MacBook Pro recognizes that there is a usb drive in the computer, disk utility should fix it.

Thanks for the info and tips on extra sites to see. Planning a trip right now to take us to TX to see the bluebonnets and son, then west to Gallup NM to see Canyon de Chelly, Monument Valley, then north to Moab to see Arches and Canyonlands, east through Rocky Mountain National Park then home to Michigan. About 3500 miles so far, will take as long as we need, at least three days in Gallup and 2 days in Moab UT, maybe more, a few days in the Rockies depending on weather. Have to take these long trips while we are able. Never traveled this early in the season.

On my stomach, apples. Oranges give me heartburn. Of course I can never stop with eating just one orange either.
