With 83× zoom limit and a maximum 2000 mm 35 mm equivalent focal length, it was the greatest-zooming bridge camera at the time of its announcement, a record it still maintains as of August 2017.

I had a P900 for awhile. I am 72 and shake somewhat. I found the 600mm range had a bit of blur in it because of my shake. Be advised the best way to use the 600mm zoom is with a tripod. Good luck.

It is probably the best value for money for nature photographers. I have one that I use for birds and butterflies and stuff like that. It does a good job in many ways.

I think most of us who own one have stated their satisfaction, overall, with the Camera. Not the "be-all" or "everything" of cameras, as their are trade-offs, but it does what it does quite well. Biggest negative would be if you shoot a lot of RAW traditionally.
But get one! I bet you will like the camera. Ah=nd - Remember in most cases you have 30 days min. to return if not satisfied.

I don’t have this one, but have the Canon sx50. These super zoom cameras are fun, but a little hard to get a sharp photo at the long end.
