As a still well functioning 81 year old, I find these about as funny as dead baby jokes.

I still have my old Rolleiflex: solid, sturdy, heavy, made of metal, not plastic. I have not shot anything with it for years but the shutter and lens mechanisms seem as good as ever.
When you had 12 exposures per roll and couldn't bang off dozens of digital images, you thought more about the picture before you pressed the button. The square format and the fact you shot from the chest also influenced composition and concept.
It was a great camera with magnificent optics.

I agree. What a stupid, parochial and insulting thing to write!

Henry's is a good camera store with a great variety of stuff. Their main store is at Church and Queen in downtown Toronto. But their prices are not the lowest. Although they do not stock the same variety, Future Shop is cheaper. You might also want to investigate Walmart and Costco although their stores are in the suburbs. There are a lot of good camera stores on Yonge Street north of Dundas. I suggest walking from Dundas to Bloor and checking them out. They also are more likely to bargain. It also is an interesting area with many interesting stores and restaurants and the whole strip is served by the Yonge subway.
Remember you have to add 13% tax to the posted prices although as a foreign visitor you may be able to get a rebate. Check ONTARIO HST on the internet.

ADDENDUM---reading over the thread and seeing you have very limited time, I agree with those who suggest Mississauga. There are several very large shopping centres close to the airport and Henry's and Future Shop probably have stores in one or more. Also, consider the duty free shop at Pearson International although in my own experience I have not been impressed by their prices on anything. Unless you are driving, there is no quick or cheap way to get from Pearson to downtown. Even the soon to be opened rail link will be outrageously overpriced.

I would love to revive my old Rolleiflex. Great lens. Easy to use. And it had two features that influenced your composition --- the square format and the fact you shot from the chest. I'm not even sure you still can get 120 roll film. And with 12 exposures per roll, you worked at making every shot count rather than fire a machine gun burst and hope that one of the shots might hit the target.

(If this turns up as a double post, my apologies.)
That's why it's a hobby for me. I don't try to please anybody but me but if I do, it's a bonus. I recently took a snapshot of a great dog, a three month old Boxer, and with some photoshopping, turned into a decent photograph. I made and mounted a print and gave it to the owner who was delighted and gave me a big hug. That hug was worth more than any fee.

I wouldn't touch a thing other than perhaps a little retouching around the eyes. But the light is fantastic. It doesn't look natural but the effect is still superb. I love the dog's expression and the way its hair has been rendered. Great shot!

I made the changes I had suggested earlier. However, rather than more saturation, I gave less but also played with contrast and brightness. To my eye, the switch in the direction of the deer is dramatic.

Very nice shots. I would like a little more colour saturation. And I might flop number two horizontally so that the deer is entering the frame from the left side. Keep up the good work

My generator is under my deck and has a tarp over it. I put fresh gas in it two or three times a year and when I run it, I close the fuel valve to let it run dry, keeping gunk out of the carburetor. You don't want to be coping with low gas and a gummed up carburetor in the dark. Good idea to run a test every couple of months and top up the tank if the generator doesn't get used frequently. Also good idea to keep a magnetic flashlight attached to the generator so you'll have some light to start it.
One issue is the quality of the power. It is not as smooth as that from your utility and there can be surges so it's a good idea not to run electronics such as computers and TV sets on generator power.

If you had read them you would have seen the third one was a follow up and not a duplicate
