Thanks to some of the Hog regulars, I am finally going to post some of my wildlife shots. I have been doing photography for about nine months, and it has become a passion...it's very addictive!! Anyway, please feel free to give me advice on my shots, how to become a better photographer, and post process any you can make look better(which will be all). I really suck at the PP thing.

You did well Stoney. On #1 I would crop about 20% from the right side and about 10-15% from the top. I think #2 is your best shot. Keep at it and keep asking questions.

Your photo are a good start. I would suggest increasing the contrast and sharpness in PP. You images have no EXIF data attached so it is hard to provide any shooting advice.

Where do I find that info, and how do I attach it so you all can help me? Thanks, and thanks for your advice.

Your second photo is the best in my opinion. You are doing well.

Thank you kavner58. That is the one I actually tried to do more work with in PP.

If you have PhotoShop, click at the top on File, go down to File Info and it should tell you about the exposure, etc.

Thanks jfn007. I purchased Lightroom, would the info be in the same place. Then, how can I get it to where you all can read it?

You are off and running. I suggest you use AF-S. Work on your exposure settings and expose as far to the right as you can. Then work on your color or white balance. Fun stuff. Good luck. Learn to use a gray card, a tri-card (white, gray and black) to set your own white balance. Then you can top it off by learning to use an X-Rite card for post processing. This will help you get the images as right as you can in camera. I suggest that you shoot raw.

In Lightroom, under Library on the right sidebar there is "metadata" click on that and all the data will show.

I envy you. Feed your models better grade fruit. Don't try to PP true life. Enjoy.
