The way I read this is that Nikon is shutting off parts for non-authorized repair facilities. "Nikon Inc has decided that it will no longer make repair parts available for purchase by repair facilities that have not been authorized by Nikon Inc to perform the camera repairs." It goes on to say "Nikon will continue to supply parts to authorized repair centers." Seems like a lot of panic over nothing.

Got this Tamrac HooDoo on sale at B&H Photo for $39 in early April. I packed my Fuji X-T3 plus three lenses, charger, spare batteries & cards, and a 13" notebook (with charger) without any issues. Even at it's normal price of $79 it is a great buy.

Fuji has a $500 instant rebate on that lens, good through 3/30. At $1399 for a new lens it is now priced under what I have seen for used prices.

I would suggest that you spend $10 if you have a smart phone and purchase the PhotoPills app. There is so much info in it about not only shooting astrophotography, sunrises and sunsets, but depth of field etc. for pretty much any camera and lens combination. It is the best $10 you'll spend for this type of info.

I bought this FujiFilm mirrorless one year ago and loved the system so much that I have already graduated to the X-T3. I thought about hanging on to this for my granddaughter but it will be a few years before she could realistically use it. So before I put this on ebay, I thought I would see if any UHH’ers are interested. Both the camera and the lens are very clean.

I have all of the original goodies including:
- camera w/ 2165 shots taken
- XF 18-55mm f2.8-4 lens with OIS
- Lens caps and camera cap
- Lens hood
- Battery + charger
- Strap
- Manual
- Box with packing
plus some extras I’ll throw in:
- camera case
- 32GB SanDisk Extreme Plus
- remote cable release
- 58mm UV filter

Amazon sells this kit new for $1099. I’ll sell mine for $700 including shipping and insurance via USPS. PayPal or cleared check. If interested please pm me.

I recently rented a lens from LensRental.com. I scheduled it to arrive on a Tuesday for a Wednesday/Thursday shoot and return on Friday. It arrived 4 days early and I was afraid that I would have to return it before my shoot or pay extra for the unneeded days. I called them and explained the situation and they gave me the extra 4 days for free. No problem, they said, just return it at the scheduled time. Now that's great service!

I bought a used D610 and had the same issue. This youtube video really helped me out.

Hi
I'm expecting delivery of a new Fujifilm 55-200mm lens tomorrow.
Can anyone tell me of their experience with this lens?

I love this lens. I carry this and the 10-24mm as my two go-to lenses. The 55-200mm is on the camera 75% of the time. Last night I caught the moon rising with this lens. 135mm, f7.1, ISO 500, SS 1/500. A little adjustment in Luminar 3 to darken the sky and put a orange tint on the moon's face. Since I'm still learning my camera (X-T3) and lenses, this will keep me happy for a long time. I highly recommend this lens.

I’ve been very disappointed with my Nikon 1 and have been looking for a really good replacement. The new Nikon Z6 and Z7 have caught my eye. But they are terribly expensive. So I am wondering if they are worth the money or if there are other great mirrorless cameras I should look at? Your thoughts.

I would suggest that you rent a few different camera bodies and lenses to get a feel for what's available and what fits your needs. I use BorrowLenses.com and have had excellent service from them.

I use Luminar 2018 on my Mac and it opens my X-T3 RAW files just fine. FujiFilm has a RAW software converter on its' web site and it is free. Called RAW FILE CONVERTER EX 3.0 powered by SILKYPIX, it will allow you to save in jpg or tif. Plus it has tons of editing options built in. Enjoy.

I was in the data protection business for 15+ years. Our saying was 3-2-1: 3 copies of data on 2 different media with 1 off site. You have it covered! As Traderjohn said, if you have to worry about earthquakes and no internet, you have far bigger problems than retrieving your pictures.
