The YouTube video from Bob above explained pretty well on both cameras and the target audiences. From what you wrote, the X-T2 will be better as it is weather sealed and will be better balanced with larger lenses.
Few more with the 50mm f2 if you are into landscaping (rare "landscape" pictures from me)

I have the X-T20 for about a year and really like it with the following lenses/usage:
18-55mm - 10%
35mm F2 - 20%
50mm F2 - 10%
56mm F1.2 - 30%
90mm F2 - 20%
55-200mm - 10%
My shot consisting of a single person (not group) mostly full or 1/2 body shots (not head only), both indoor and out.
I used to have a D90, D7000, D7100, D800 and D750. D750 is my favorite out of the bunch.
