Am upgrading from a Sony Hx 90 v
I have an old Fugitive x30 but need a new camera to take Macro, Wildlife, birds and small animals.
Which camera would be the better one ?
I can buy either one at almost the same price on EBay
Thanks

The xt-2 is weather proof and has a joy stick so it’s easy to change the focus point.

The YouTube video from Bob above explained pretty well on both cameras and the target audiences. From what you wrote, the X-T2 will be better as it is weather sealed and will be better balanced with larger lenses.

A few other differences between the X-T2 and X-T20 beyond those already mentioned.
X-T2 has 2 memory card slots; the X-T20 has only 1 memory card slot.
X-T2 mechanical shutter max shutter speed 1/8000 second; X-T20 mechanical shutter max shutter speed 1/4000 second.
X-T2 does NOT have built-in flash (supposedly due to weather resistant build), but does come standard with a small outboard flash. The EF-X8 flash is so small it is easy to carry along or if you think you're in a situation where you might use the flash often, just leave it mounted. The X-T20 has a built-in popup flash.

I chose a X-T2 as an upgrade/addition to my X-T1 and I'm very happy with it. The joystick for selecting focusing points that someone else mentioned earlier is very nice feature.

Great suggestion - love Omar's comparisons! Hope he does one on the Fuji X-T20 and X-T100.

I suggest you do some homework online on your own... It is easy and informative. Here is a good comparison of both cameras pros & cons: https://www.digitalrev.com/article/fuji-xt20-vs-xt2

I have the X-T20 and it is a great small camera and to me, that's why I don't use it as often. I can't keep the palm of my thumb from touching the buttons on the back or brushing across the screen. Just about the time I've got it up to my eye, menus start to popup in the viewfinder. I can turn the touchscreen off however I can't disable the button pad.

The X-T2 is on sale now for nearly the same price and had it been so then, I would not have hesitated to buy it. As far at the resulting quality of pictures go, they are essentially identical.

While I only have the X-T1 and love it, I would recommend the Fujifilm X-T2. I get superior photos with my 1. One year I'll upgrade.

You can disable (lock) the pad buttons by holding down the menu/Ok button for two seconds. Repeat to enable again.
