The waves were not that good so I tried a new technique: Crop the heck out of each photo! It emphasizes the surfer and NOT the wave! Does this work for you or not?

Looks really good to me, Brent. The action is intense and what you see of the water looks great too. Super set of photos!

Brent, it works for me. It shows how one can deny gravities pull on us being countered by individuals in extreme ways.

I've been to that pier a few times. Great place to take pictures because the pier extends out so far.

Yes Greg, those surfers are amazing athletes and with practice can do gravity defying moves.

Yes illininitt you are so right. You can get very close to the surfers and don't need such a huge telephoto lens to capture all the detail.
