I use Adobe Photoshop Elements. It has both an Organizer and an Editor. Don't understand why others haven't mentioned this. For a very simple editor, I like Faststone Image Viewer - very easy to use and it's free.
Why upgrade? You aren't gaining anything great. Wait a year.
If you have a computer with a 12th generation Intel processor, you should upgrade to Windows 11. Only the Thread Director in Windows 11 understands the difference between Performance Cores and Efficiency Cores. My i5-12600k CPU has 6 Performance Cores with hyperthreading and 4 Efficiency Cores without hyperthreading for a total of 16 threads. It's a beast! And there are i7 and i9 processors.
I have it on three computers in my house. No issues at all but I don't like how they have changed some of the menus for no reason at all - just to be different. Windows 10 support ends fall 2025.
I don't know if that's a Windows or iMac but if it's Windows 10 or 11, there is a built in Camera app. Just open up the Camera app and it should connect to your webcam. I would think this would work for you if the camera will focus up close. Good luck.
