Hey everyone, this is my first time hosting a challenge, and I hope you like the subject!!
Do you have any--
Argyle socks or penny loafers? How about you ex ballerinas, got a tutu?
An old hot rod, heck a new old hot rod...
Yoo Hoo chocolate drinks?
R/C Cola and Moon Pies? An original VCR tape of American Graffiti?
How about some old Sinatra/Deano/SammyDavis sheet music?
I am looking forward to getting plenty of support from everyone, so here we go!!

Hey everyone, this is my first time hosting a chal... (show quote)

The tire swing on the greenbelt in our neighborhood reminds me of one we had for our kids. The second one is of me and 2 girlfriends with a replica of the sign that stood atop our favorite hangout in high school (great place for cruising and checking out boys!)-taken at our 50th high school reunion. The third one reminds me of many hours spent flying kites at our local schoolground (except that our kites were the paper and stick kind, which seem to have spent more time in trees and on the ground than in the air). My friend and I fly this kite every time we go to the beach.

I found Nikon D5600 For Dummies by Julie Adair King to be pretty helpful. I learned quite a bit from it. It is available from Amazon

I like the color better. Contrast in it is better, IMO.

Yum!! I ate soup for breakfast as a child, so I agree about soup. Just made chicken caldo yesterday for supper.

Hello Folks....Street Photography is among my top three favourites. A few things here, often I do a selfie because I know what I want and do not feel like hanging around for someone else to do it. Also although I like b&w, colours occcasionally might work and some folks prefer colour too...so here we go..have fun...

These were taken in May, hence the young man in a graduation gown.

I have not gone through all 4 pages of responses so someone else may have already suggested this.
Get the book Nikon D7200 for Dummies by Julie Adair King. Sit down with the camera and the book and spend a few evenings going through it page by page.
I also did this with my D5600. It is a good reference.
I did this with my Nikon D5300 and found it much more helpful than reading the manual.
Good luck.

I favor the first image for it's eye catching color even if the offset, curving road is not really adding anything of value. But.....What if you cropped the second (straight road) image so as to have less road and as much of the best color of the mountains as possible?

I like #2 because it draws my eye into the photo, but agree with Drip Dry McFleye about cropping some of the road off the bottom. This draws my eye in even more, and at the same time emphasizes the broad expansiveness of the scene, without over-emphasizing the road, IMHO.

p5. How special and nicely portrayed. Perfect light and love the detail.

Thanks for your comments, PAToGraphy. I submitted this for a weekly 52frames project. I am sure that folks would have gotten a laugh at the contortions I went through to get it in natural light from my living room window, behind the couch. Learning how to see and use light is very challenging.
