I'm going to enter a local photo contest named "Fall Harvest" and can't decide which of the pictures I want to enter. I've narrowed it down to 4 and thinking of entering 1 each of the different subjects. I've always loved zucchini flowers and saw some one morning. The 1st 2 pictures show one zucchini I missed picking when it was a good size so let it grow; along with a nice new one; and the flower, possibly one to pick in the future. The next 2 I like because of the 2 flowers along with a zuc.

Sure could use your input on which one/ones you like the best.

Although #4 has its good points, the leaf is in focus but the flowers not. Neither are the flowers in focus in #3, but the zucchini, a key part of the photo, is. I go with #3. BTW, you might look at info on depth of field (DOF), so you are more likely to get everything you want in or out of focus.

I'm always questioning my DOF. I had one instructor that mentioned focusing on one thing and I hear feedback in local paper about specific focus. But I too tend to like a greater DOF to include many things or to include more than a small part of the picture (depending on the subject). Thanks for your feedback. These are things I've been trying to weigh. I'll wait for more feedback but maybe they just aren't good enough. The competition is really high.

#3 There is no doubt that it is a zuccini.

#3 seems best all round. #2 is also good because of the detail on the zucchini, but I would still go with #3.
