These apps are great for two things.

1) Finding photographic spots that have worked well for others.

2) Identifying places to avoid if you want to shoot something that others miss.

What apps specifically for Android and/or iPad?

Fantastic!

These are beautiful. May I ask what IS mode you used on your lens (1, 2, or 3)? I love photographing our local wildlife including deer, geese, ducks, eagles, etc. I either use 2 or 3, but I honestly can't tell much difference between the 2 modes.

Although we have done some traveling outside of my home state of Arkansas (Yellowstone in winter and summer, Alaska, Caribbean, Mexico, Canada), my absolute favorite place to photograph is the back roads of Arkansas! We are 45 minutes from the mighty Mississippi River, 1 hour from the Ozark Mountain foothills, and have delta farm ground surrounding us. We live on a narrow ridge of hills called Crowley's Ridge, where there is abundant wildlife and beautiful scenery. In a half hour (depending on the season), I can be on location where there are eagles, migrating waterfowl, and see deer and other critters almost any day.

I want to thank everyone that critiqued my photos. I knew that I had the right gear, but it was getting the right gear, on the correct settings and sitting in a good location that produce these photos at my grandson wrestling match. Although the opposing team didn't have a team member his weight class, I started clicking away at those that did. During the match, I was approached by 2 people from my grandsons school to share my photos in there yearbook and in the teams wrestling pictorial. I'm using a Canon 7D mii with a Sigma 70-200, f2.8 sitting on a monopod.
I have been reading various post regarding photo programs for Post Production. I have used Photo Shop2 and Photo Elements years ago and have been using a low end PP up to now but feel I need to upgrade my PP program. With most of my photos being sports action and wildlife, is/are there PP programs that lean towards this type of photography or will most of them take care of what I need? Also with my family spread from the US to Scotland and Australia, do the photo programs have a photo website that I can setup for my family to view? These photos are much better then the last set I posted and their still room for improvement ie... not so tight on the shot and adjust my point of focus (this was single center fp. Maybe should of dropped down 1 mark). Again, thanks to everyone for you suggestions.

I didn't see the originals, but I think these look great. I tried taking photos at my granddaughter's volleyball game on Saturday, and I definitely have to rethink how I do things. Thanks for sharing your settings. I also have the 7d Mk ii, but I need a faster lens.

You are very welcome. As warned above, it is very addictive. I had to take my setup down in order to accomplish anything else. I kept getting more ideas.

Farm Girl, is possible to see your setup?
Thanks,

One other thing: Be sure your glass (or plexiglass) is very level. Otherwise, your bubbles will "run away".

Here is a link that I found and used to get me started. https://edknepleyphoto.com/tag/rain-x/. My setup is very primitive in that I don't have studio lighting. I just used ambient light and adjusted my shutter speed to get the aperture I needed. I used ISO 100. My favorite ones are shot using f/20 aperture. I'm attaching a photo of my setup. You can see all the things I had sitting on the table to try out. I wound up with about 15 or 20 fun images that I really liked. I'll attach one of them and a photo of my (professional :)) set up.

Very cute. Caution: could be habit forming.

You are 100% right about that! I had to put away my setup to stop myself.

Thanks! I belong to an Arkansas regional tourism association, so I made this "screensaver" for some friends on the board.

I love doing night photography, but I have dozens of full/super moon images. So, while it is so cold, I decided to play indoors. These are fairly low resolution, but you can get the idea. Our agritourism business is called Pumpkin Hollow, so I had to do one for that. Then, I decided to do a "bubble ad" for Canon!

I was cleaning my 24-105L lens and noticed a scratch that you can hook your fingernail in. Only thing I can even think of was a brief bike ride without the cap on and a rock must of hit it. I took this lens on a biking trip and the cap was on 99 percent of the time along with the hood but that 1 percent got me I guess. Anyway this lens is covered till the middle of next month and I’m wondering if they would fix it? I don't think it could ever show up in a photo but not sure. What would you do? I really try to take care of my stuff and this bothers me plus if I ever have to sell it will ding the price just because it’s there. Sorry for the crappy iPhone photo.

If your not familiar with the plan it’s basically insurance through Canon to cover against accidental damage and I got it when I purchased the camera/lens kit.

In the summer of 2016, I handed off my 70D while we were trying to get some video of our new zipline. 30 minutes later, when I retrieved it, it was extremely hot. I turned it off and let it cool down, but the camera would no longer function. The main circuit board was replaced in the camera at no charge to me using the Care Pak warranty I had. It has functioned flawlessly since. I was pleasantly surprised!
