I have two and they are coast to coast. British Columbia and Newfoundland, Canada. I give the nod to Newfoundland.

What has been your paradise, so far?

Make sure you stop at Shelburne Farms in Shelburne.
Great place to hike or walk, have breakfast or dinner.
A different world. It is an old Vanderbilt Estate that is now a Not for Profit.

Eggs are from their chickens. Call a day ahead to make a reservation. I gave tours for 12 years at the Farm. Make sure to taste the cheese they make.

Globally, my favorite is the Blue Hills outside Sydney, Australia. Near the town of Leura. Great hikes, great rock formations and cypress groves. And, it's AUSTRALIA, Mate. The beer's great, the wine's even better.

Naturally I love Lake Tahoe and the Sierra Nevada range for which she is the crown jewel. As a budding photographer, I learned much from my father at Lake George, NY. An East Coast analog to Tahoe in many ways--especially scale.

For me, the Alpine region of Austria, Switzerland, Italy and Germany. A perfect mix of breath-taking mountains, pastures, lakes and charming, decorative architecture. Beautiful all year round.

You bet. I could live on cheese. Thank you for the tip, Stan.

My youngest son Derek will to travelling to Australia from British Columbia at the end of the month. He isn't into photography but into beer. Cheers!

The BC/Alberta border lands. And too many regions of Europe to count.

I was born in Austria (Furstenfeld) and haven't been back since 1952. I'm going there in September.

It's on my bucket list. I may visit there on my way back to British Columbia, this spring.
