And I thought I was the only born Austrian on UHH. I was born in Rennweg am Katschberg.

Tend to agree with the addition of Southern Utah. Of course, anywhere in France provides great photo ops.

Feiertag, June July and August are the best months. Spring is wet and snow is still melting. Get on the boat going across Jenny Lake in The Grand Teton National Park and head straight up Cascade canyon to get away from the crowds. Vertical rock 5,000 feet straight up and not a soul to be found! Great opportunity to avoid "the cattle call." I still have it on my bucket list to Climb Teewinot Mountain (14,000') next to The Grand Teton, but I'm getting a little gimpy in my right hip. All I can say is that you won't be sorry you went. Bueno suerte! rpm
When you get to Vermont this summer, Lake Bomoseen is a beautiful spot and they have (or used to have) sailboat races on the lake every weekend. Route 100 Scenic Byway is always pretty. As a Canuck, I'm sure you know about Banff/Jasper/Yoho/Kootenay. For me, that is paradise even more than the Tetons.
The American Southwest. The Palouse in Washington.
