What is the best Inkjet Photo Printing Paper?
I have not purchased any Paper in several years, 10 years ago I moved away from my home with a dedicated space to store all thing photo graphic, I used to keep at least 5 types of paper on hand at all times. Now I have a small area in the corner of a large room with one filing cabinet drawer for my storage. I just used up my last sheet of 8.5 x 11 paper this week end. I don’t print nearly as much since I moved south. I like Glossy, for most of the general printing that I do, and it’s mostly family shots anymore. Occasionally some Art shots of flowers and gardens. I do still have some Kodak pro portrait matt paper that cost $5 a sheet when I bought it 12 years ago; it is stored in an air tight box in a safe. I bought it for a special project many years ago. I used one sheet recently and it still makes a brilliant proto. Sorry I digress, so please shower me with recommendations. Many Thanks.

SD cards are nothing more than flash memory. This is layers of biased silicone which can be induced by a low electrical current to open and close location much like gates. This is all controlled by a permanently formatted space called the FAT (File Allocation Table. This space is hard coded into the electronics. While today's SD cards are quit robust there are a few things that can scramble them. When connected to a device the FAT is accessed buy the interface controller. This is a electronic space that transfers files from the device to the card. If you notice that when removing a card from a reader you should go through the eject sequence, that is because files are in a sort of limbo between the device and the card. If at that point the power in interrupted, the FAT can be scrambled. Mostly nothing bad happens, but some times one or two files are affected. In the worst case that card is rendered unusable. I have seen this in cards used in voice recorders as the memory cells are worked over and over. Most manufactures of SD cards publish a mean time between failure. I recommend to divide that by 4 and replace your SD cards accordingly.

How did you determine you last card reader was bad, if it acts the same as the new one maybe it is a USB port or driver issue.

A .PSE is a Photo Shop Elements file, to my knowledge Adobe Reader DC is strictly for .PDF. To view .PSE you will need Photo Elements or Photo Shop some version. There maybe other generic programs that would open an Elements file but I don't have knowledge of them.

I find that the no label batteries don't hold a charge as well as the Brand label, that said I have several and I find them worth the money as in some cases they are 4 to 5 times less than branded product. Nikon does not make batteries so some one makes that exact battery without the Nikon label. Check out Ebay and Amazon.

I will generally use 100-160, but recently I needed to take pictures at a Basket Ball game. I set my Nikon D7100 at 5000. When I viewed the pictures I could not believe the clarity. I even printed some at 8 x 10. While they were not the quality of the 100-160 shoots I have taken. They were exceptional. I would say in the digital age hi ASA in the right Camera really works. Sorry ISO I am showing my age using ASA.

The lens thing with Nikon is a quagmire it requires that you do allot of study. Nikon does not offer a lens compatibility page ob their web site that is clear. I studied for about 6 months before I bought my 7100 this spring. This was my first new real camera since I bought my FM-2 in 1983. I bought it on E-Bay in a package. The advertised lenses were to be FX. But when the kit arrived they had been changed for DX-VR with internal motors. While I am very pleased with the Lens, I was disappointed with the seller. I latter inquired and in the fine print they did clearly state that the listed lenses my be sub for others if equivalent. As for the 7100 it is a very fine Camera, I have taken about 500 to 600 pictures since I received it and I have been more than pleased with every one.

I love a real print, and I love a real picture, and I feel the individual that just left your print was very rude. But all that aside. The smart phone has allowed the capturing of world changing events that in the past would not have happened. When the plane was landed in the Hudson river a cell phone video was flashed around the world in seconds. Re tweeted as they say over a million times in just minutes. I am nearing the 3/4 century mark in my life and I have seem much. Some change is good some is not. Rudeness is never good. All in I take pictures or Photographs as I prefer with my new D7100, and I take snap shots with my I-Phone. They are not the same, but both are valuable.
