I have a Canon Selphy printer and sometimes give 4 X 6 prints to friends (they only cost 27 cents per print). I shot a picture of a couple at a party and, viewing the shot on the LCD, her reaction was, "Love it! Can I get a copy?"

The next time I saw her I gave her a 4 X 6 print. To my horror she laid the picture on a table, shot a copy with her iPhone and left the print behind! Am I that far behind? :| :XD:

You need wifi in your camera.

This is the quickest, easiest way to share via social media. It's just the times we live in. I'm guessing she is youngish?

That's probably better than getting ahead of yourself. :-D

I don't do WiFi 'cause I almost never share a photo without some post processing.

The worst part is that I have emailed pix to this same person before but when someone says "copy" that says "print" to me. :-D

You can go crazy second guessing why people do the things they do.

My wife wants to have "copies" of some of the images I take stored on her cell phone and probably will never get a print made.
It seems a smart phone is the way a lot of people view photos today.

She probably doesn't have a scanner or any other way to share her photos with friends other than through the phone. A lot of people now use phones exclusively instead of computers.

When I see people looking at photos on a phone and everyone is saying, "Cool shot!", I'm the one thinking, "Too dark. Distracting background. Camera's not level......"

We cannot give in to this trend.

"We shall defend our island, whatever the cost may be, we shall fight on the beaches, we shall fight on the landing grounds, we shall fight in the fields and in the streets, we shall fight in the hills; we shall never surrender."

It is best for ones sanity if you do not dwell on others insanity.

That is funny.
More than ever, i take pictures for my own pleasure. Too many people are oblivious to the difference between a cell phone shot, and a serious image. It is what it is.

Too funny. From her iPhone to Facebook, then to infinity and beyond. It's a brave new world.

Hey Oddjobber....If I look too closely, I easily see that I too, am getting behinder and behinder every day, and that I will probably continue to do so until I am gone. I try not to dwell on it....just enjoy what I can...
