Since gun massacres in Uk,Japan and Autrailia gun laws have been tightened up and the results have shown a huge decrease in gun crime..
Point to ponder: If everyone in the cinema had been armed and began shooting in the half light.Hmm

I know why most citizens would want to protect themselves.
Where gun sales and concealed carry permits have gone up, violent crime has gone down. Criminals don't want to take a chance that their target is armed.
When we create GUN FREE ZONES the law abiding citizens abide by the rules, criminals don't and they have an open shooting gallery opportunity.
If you take away all the guns from the law abiding citizens, only the criminals will have them. Take a look at Illinois, the most stringent state in the U S for gun laws.
Here is one thing to consider when the law abiding citizen isn't allowed to have a gun.

Perhaps the U.S. should pull out of Chicago?
Body count: In 2012 over 500 killed (murdered) in Chicago.
AND Chicago has one of the strictest gun laws in the entire US.
