I have his guides to a6000, a6300 and SONY RX10 miv. If he can make it clear to me you will have no problems! Inherited Bush's Guide to the a6300 but prefer Friedmans!

I know that pain! But the lower perspective is often worth it especially with kids and dogs and,,,,,,,,,,,well just about everything! SNAKES! Especially snakes!!

Personally the "automatic" issue is most important in the field as manually stopping down causes me to loose my focus point and thus is very frustrating. I need the lens to stop down "automatically' when I trip the shutter. Tubes that can't do that electrically are no help to me.
