Nice shot! I'm not sure I would want him that close to my backyard. Don't have to worry about that in California. Instead we have rattlesnakes and mountain lions to be concerned with lol.......

Canon has a 1 year warranty on refurbished. $395 for the 77d, also deals on m50, rebel, and RP (if interested in full frame.) https://shop.usa.canon.com/shop/en/catalog/cameras/refurbished-eos-interchangeable-lens-cameras

Canon refurbished is a great way to go! However the 77D is out of stock right now on their refurbished site.

The difference can be stated in one word, “risk.” All you’ve read is true. Speak softly and carry a Canon. 😎

Olympus Tough TG2. It came out 2013 waterproof, shatter proof etc. It earned a 79% silver award from DP Review

I agree that the TG series from Olympus would be worth considering. The TG6 is the current model. It sells for about $350.00 new. (Less $$ than many smart phones).

This is absurd... and obvious the poster doesn't have clue on how to effective use wide angle optics..
Many published fashion editorials are shot far wider than 24mm (FX)

If you cant get the photos you want with a 6DmkII,
$100,000 worth of camera won't work for you either.

If there's a problem here, it's the "photographer", sure as heck not the camera.

Shakes head in disbelief.

Really?!? Did you even read his post? You were so quick to accuse the OP of not having skills as a photographer The OP is looking for a camera better suited to sports. The 6DII is a great camera but does not have a high burst rate and is not typically recommended for sports. Several cameras mentioned are better for fast action and sports. Perhaps you should take the time to read a post all the way through before making absurd comments.

We thankfully got a good downpour on Day 4 which not only lead to this fun shot of puddles but meant that we would have a supply of pothole water for the rest of our journey (12 days total). In the background of that puddle shot are the domes of what we call "Lost Cowboy Country". That's where we did a fabulous 9 day hike/climb last spring which I posted last year (we've also backpacked there on a 26 day hike in 2015 and first backpacked there in 1995). It's across the San Juan River from Paiute Mesa which we are exploring in these photographs. We've climbed along the tops of all of those ridges in the background last year. The second photo was taken while cutting across the Mesa (only possible in a few places). Photo 3 shows one of the hundreds of domes that we climbed (with Navajo Mountain in the background), while photo 4 gives you a sense of our camp life. Stay tuned for more tomorrow! (of course all of these images are best if viewed through the download).

A D700 does (very very good) stills only.

No video Danger911.

I was wondering if your username is a reference to the
the motoring journalists that threw so many Porsche 930s
off the (often mountain) roads when the were released in the 70s.

It looks like you were trying to reply to Danger911, but addressed your reply to my comment instead. I did not make any reference to the D700 in my comments. My comment was simply a response to the misguided blanket statement by bobsprez about "Nikon DSLRs" not being well suited for video.
