Yes, FotoMagico 5 (Ver 5.6.12) is a good program to create slideshows and burn them to standalone CDs or DVDs. Simple to use and they have supplied examples that can be easily customized for your specific needs. Easy to title your slideshow as well as add background music with your own music or some they supply. You can control how you transition from one slide to another as well as the timing for each. You can even mix in movie clips from your phone or camera.

I have ON1 PR2020 in the following machine:
macOS Mojave
Version 10.14.6

iMac (Retina 5K, 27-inch, Late 2015)
Processor: 4GHz Intel Core i7
Memory: 16 GB 1867 MHz DDR3
Startup Disk: 1TB SSD
Graphics: AMD Radeon R9 M395X 4GB
External Seagate 2TB drive for photo files

It runs great! I have not had any performance issues and it has never locked up. I run it as a stand alone app but I always have other apps like email, Safari, TextEdit and even other Photo apps like Aurora HDR 2019 and Affinity running as well. No issues. ON1 PR2020 now uses the GPU to speed up rendering. You might want to check the Activity Monitor app in the Utilities folder to help isolate the issue.

Yes! ON1 has watermarking built in and it is much easier to use than either LR or PS.

Open Photos; select the photo you want to edit in Luminar 4; go to "Image" in the command bar and scroll down to "Edit With"; scroll to the bottom and select "Other"; This will open the Application folder and allow you to select Luminar 4 with your selected picture. When you have completed your edits in Luminar 4, exit and the edits will be reflected in in Photos. It will also leave Luminar 4 as your "Last Used Application" the next time you go to "Image => Edit With".

Socialism as it's normally defined doesn't work in general, that's true.
Yet we don't have to fall into the limited thinking mode of either/or, black or white, etc.
As Bernie Sanders keeps re-iterating; calling it 'Democratic Socialism'..not Communism..
big difference!
And with his view of it, he's taking the best of Democracy and Socialist ideas to make a more
equitable and workable system that can serve everyone's best interest.
Of course some will dis-agree (the wealthy) that it doesn't serve their interest. Greed and the inability to see the 'bigger picture' is not something we should have to compromise for in this case!
Socialism as it's normally defined doesn't work in... (show quote)

BS!! Joseph Stalin was a self proclaimed Democratic Socialist and look at where he took his country. Right into a Communist dictatorship with millions being murdered in the name of his form of Democratic Socialism! YES! Democratic Socialism is nothing more than a creeping form Communism wrapped up in a pretty name. Bernie Sanders is a Communist and has loved communism nearly all his life. He just calls it Democratic Socialism to make it palatable to fools that can't tell the difference.

Regarding education; spending thousands of dollars on an education that will never earn you enough money to pay it back is down right stupid. I see kids today freely borrowing money for an education that literally has no chance of enabling them to earn enough money to pay it back and then complaining about it. Actions have consequences. This lesson should have be learned early in life, not after you graduate college.

I've been blown away by the 1Mac 27 inch 5k display. I've been waiting until Black Friday to order one but today, while searching online for the best deal, I discovered that too many reviews say that photo processing is glacially slow. Other reviews mention quick speeds. Now I'm uncertain if this computer is a wise choice.

To those of you Hogs that have an iMac 27" 5k that you use for post processing, Please share your experience with me.

I have the following system:

macOS Mojave
Version 10.14.6

iMac (Retina 5K, 27-inch, Late 2015)
Processor: 4GHz Intel Core i7
Memory: 16 GB 1867 MHz DDR3
Startup Disk: 1GB SSD
Graphics: AMD Radeon R9 M395X 4GB

As you can see it's an older system. I have the latest versions of Capture One 12, Luminar 4, Aurora HDR 2019, On1 Photo RAW 2020, Affinity Photo and Canon's Digital Photo Pro 4. I have not upgraded to the latest version on macOS; I am waiting for the bugs to settle out. As for processing speed of my system using the afore mentioned products; I have seen no degradation.

I always try to purchase my next machine looking as far into the future as I can afford dollar wise. That is the latest processor (high core #, max threads), max memory, large SSD and fast graphics processor even if the current software can't use it; future software will. I have been able to get anywhere from 6 to 8 years out of a machine before it begins to show signs of process degradation. Good luck with your new machine.

What do you include in the "every other program" universe? For example, in most mainframe programs with which I am familiar, File implies Close and Close implies File. There is a separate Quit that closes without filing. In addition, many non-mainframe programs Close when File is entered. On those programs, there is a Save to file and continue without closing. For many, the Close implies ending the program.

You want to NIT-PIK, I was referring to the "universe" that Luminar 4 runs in. The CLOSE function is under the FILE function so it should close the file. QUIT is under the Program Name like Safari or Luminar 4 which implies a program function, Quit the program. Are you really that ignorant or are you just trying to be funny?

I have also downloaded Luminar 4 and it is reasonably impressive. I am on a Mac and have found that they have carried over a bug over from Luminar 3. If you are on a Mac, hit FILE > CLOSE to close and save the changes you have just made. You will be surprised to see that the Luminar 4 completely shuts down just like Luminar 3 did. In Luminar 2018 the FILE > CLOSE function worked just like every other program and allowed you either save the file and then close it or throw away your changes and close the file. This issue was reported to the Skylum support team at the first release of Luminar 3 and with every maintenance release since. They are ignoring the issue. Others on this site are making excuses for them and saying that it's not necessary to FILE > CLOSE a file because all your changes are already saved. I understand that. But if you're going to offer that function, it should function properly or it should be removed.

Have seen it before--still funny. But it could not have been a Texas event--Texans don't agree that chili should have any beans. If there are beans in it they call it "stew".

David, You are correct! Texas chili does NOT have beans. Beans are sometimes a side dish along with some fresh chopped onions. Texas chili is designed to be hot to make you sweat to help you cool off from the Texas heat. Nuclear waist is mild compared a good Texas chili with jalapeƱos and Habanero peppers, shredded beef and just enough tomato sauce to make it smooth then thickened with masa flower. I believe Texas chili was originally served at the Texas state prison in Huntsville back in the 1800's.

Might be a Maine Coon mix. She is a beautiful animal. They usually have very prominent Lynx tips on their ears, chubby cheeks and a notable heart shape bib on their chest. I have owned them for years. They come in a full range of color mixes and range from 12 lbs. up to over 30 lbs. when mature. The females are generally a little smaller than the males. The bread also has both long and short leg versions. We have had both from the same father but different mothers. These gentle giants are very loving, playful and loyal. They demand attention and affection and will do what ever it takes to get it. If you can keep them indoors they can live very long lives, 18 to 20+ years.

You can also get some interesting shots from the boat that takes you out to Mackinaw Island. Mackinaw Island is also a great place to get pics especially this late in the season, there are very few visitors.

The Epson V600 Photo scanner uses 32bit drivers. That is why the scanner won't work. Vuescan software will only help if you use the companies (Hamrick Software) reverse engineered drivers that are 64bit. I also agree with burkphoto's opinion of Epson's new software, it sucks. The new Epson drivers are designed to work with their 700 & 800 series scanners. I currently use Vuescan on Mojave and plan to wait a few months until things settle down before upgrading. I am guessing it will be a great way clean out old/unwanted software that Go64 has identified.

Go to the ON1 site. There is a good deal of chatter from users regarding the performance issue you have described. The Location is:

https://on1help.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/community/topics/360001392271-ON1-Photo-RAW-2020-Beta-Discussion

I think you find that it's not your hardware or software. Looks like the developers at ON1 have some serious issues to clean up in both the Windows and MAC versions. I plan to wait it out until it becomes stable.

Take a wide-angle and tripod for your evening ground shots (Glowdeo) or early morning shots. Use as long a lens as you have for the sky shots (during lift-off or fly over). You can get the faces of the pilot and passenger as well as great shots of these color balloons during their flight. I used a 16mm-35mm plus a 100-400mm and got some nice shots.
