The whole Oregon coast is awesome. There are so many things to see. Be sure to get your RV spot before the weekend begins, and avoid last reservations in July and August because of the crowds. If you want to get some fabulous storm pictures - Cape Kiwanda near Tillamook is really worth a trip, but shoot from the south and keep SAFE.

My most used lens is the Sony 24 - 70mm G; I use it just about exclusively on my Sony A7R2 for my food photography. You cannot beat the sharpness of this lens.

Definitively, b&w. The texture really comes to its own in b&w. Color is nice, but I prefer b&w.

It's immaterial weather the screw is 1/4" or 3/8" as long as they don't have the right length. The minimum length of the stud/screw should be 3/8" or even a tad longer. There should be a snug fit between gimbal head and tripod plate - this applies also to any ball head.

Great images. I like the close ups better because there I can see the build up of ice.

I agree that version 9 is stable. How can I get version 9 back? I'm more than ready to ditch the 2020 iterations of On1RAW.

I have a Mac Pro mid 2012 2x2.93 GHz 6 core intel Xeon, memory 40 GB, graphics Radeon RX880 8292 MB. I think the On1Raw 2020 program is at fault because I didn't have any problems with the older versions. I think my memory is up to snuff.

I've been having problems with On1RAW since the 2019 version. It started with OS Mojave not only with On1RAW but also with Topaz. I switched back to High Sierra, but this did not solve the problem: I can use all the effects in my image with great success BUT when I click "done" the computer shuts down, and I have to reboot it. This happens also with "save" and "save as" . In other words, whenever I try to save my work, the computer shuts down. This happens also with the latest On1RAW version 14.0.1.8205. Because of this catastrophic glitch, the software is of no use to me. I've been using their product when they were called "Genuine Fractals". I was very happy with their products till last year.
The tech support is ok, but it does not solve the problem. Any suggestions?

Google "North Coyote Buttes" and you will see how to get there. It's on BLM land, and you need a permit to go there. The road to the trailhead "Wirepass " is on good dirt road, but do NOT go too fast as there is a rivulet crossing that almost took my oil pan out. Getting a permit is the big problem, though. South Coyote Buttes need also a permit, but the drive to the trailhead is tricky. Soft and deep sand.Go to the BLM site for the coyote buttes where you can find all the necessary info.

I have had problems with Mojave OS and On1RAW, Luminar 4, Topaz Ai software etc. I switched back to High Sierra, no more problems.

Here is another possibility: Make an L out of thin card board and tape it to a light table. Then you can butt any size of transparency into the corner (especially nice for mounted ones. Then use a macro lens on your camera, set up a tripod, focus and shoot away. This is much faster than a scanner, and the results are fine. It all depends on the graininess of your transparency.

I had some problems with activating the key. I did the same way you did by copying it. The problem was that I used the wrong e-mail address on which I purchased the program. As soon as this was remedies - no more problems. The program runs very well, and I'm happy with it.

I've been using Luminar 4 just for a couple of days, and I'm well pleased with it so far. No hick ups, yet.
