Just wondering if anyone else is having problems with the new Photoshop update? Since I updated it runs so slow and the beach ball of death keeps showing up and my run for 20-30 seconds after I try and do anything. Im using new 27" IMAC (macOS Mojave version 10.14.6) Anyone out there have any ideas, or know were I can go to look for solutions?
Thanks in advance.

Get a PC... :) 1/2 the price and twice the power. along with an Eizo or NEC monitor.

Why the gratuitous advice? No one will trade in a brand new top of the line iMac for a PC of any brand. Problems with Adobe software are best solved by Adobe, who will log on to your computer and often solve the problem.

My PC was having the same trouble with Acrobat. The solution is delete it then re-download it. Problem solved.

And, you’re absolutely wrong. My iPad Pro has more computing power than most PCs that are on the market. As with photographic gear, you get what you pay for.

Is has been stated before.

The photoshop updated has conflicted with Apple.

Adobe is supposedly working on the fix.

1. Type CMD+space to get Spotlight
2. Type "Monitor" then Enter to get the OS Monitor
3. Click the "CPU" tab to get the %CPU column and see what else is using the CPU besides PSP2020 (click the column header to sort it, max to min).
4. Click the "Memory" tab to see what else is using memory besides PSP2020 (click the column header to sort it, max to min).
This may give you some insight as to what PSP2020 is competing with.

Correct answer. Adobe can fix it and has for others here at UHH after the Mojave upgrade.

How much RAM (memory) do you have?

I have had problems with Mojave OS and On1RAW, Luminar 4, Topaz Ai software etc. I switched back to High Sierra, no more problems.

keep on believing that. Apple concentrates on it's phones because that's where they make the most money. All computers are just tools that help you do a job. I use both Mac and PC and can't find any large difference between them.

Apple is kind of dumb with their iMacs and Laptops in that they are not touch screen. Photo editing is much easier using a touch screen than using a mouse or touch pad.

One more thing about Apple that bugs me is planned obsolescence. I owned a Mac Pro with dual Processors and then Apple switched to Intel and my expensive computer became a door stop. I could not upgrade to the latest operating system and nothing past Snow leopard with run.

As for the iPad Pro, can you put the full version of PS on it? How about software designed for the iMac. Will it run on the iPad Pro?

Wacom tablets beat touch screen, mouse or touch pad regardless of platform. A robust version of PS has been released for the iPad Pro.
