Now that I just bought the Df with the WU-1A Wifi adapter. I downloaded the Wireless Mobile Utility App for my Samsung S8 and it works. However when shooting in portrait orientation I don't seem to be able to change the orientation so I can see the image in the phone the right way. Please help.

Most Nikon DSLRs can decouple the focus from the shutter button and work only with the AF on button. Are there any Nikon film SLR bodies that can use this functionality? My N90s will not work this way. I appreciate your input.

The F5 you can do that and use the AE-L/AF-L button but you have to set it up in custom settings. I believe the F6 which is newer would do the same.

Chris T put me on his ignore list.
I wanted to respond to his LCD display size and said I was on his ignore list and I could extend an Olive Branch. I don't have any Olive trees to get a branch
Wow. Life will go on without him

So I guess I shouldn't make him upset?

I wouldn't know. I actually like to take pictures of structure but I have used any where from a 20mm to 300mm on my 35mm camera. I may use other focal length lenses if I have them though.

How do we know which camera is top selling?

Unless the camera is designed for underwater use none of the lens is really waterproof. Even lenses for the Nikonos aren't waterproof unless they are mounted on the camera.

How about a long time exposure?

I have to put my Nikon D1X in B to clean the sensor as it would not allow sensor cleaning without the AC adapter. Back in that time Nikon was afraid of the battery may run out and close the shutter on you. However, in the case of the OP, he should have the camera serviced as it's not working as designed.

In researching to buy my first digital camera I ran across the term full frame. I've using film for almost 40 years and I didn't know about full frame until now I found out full frame is a digital camera that has the sensor the same size as a 35mm film frame. Learn something new.

I am new to digital since I don't even have my first digital camera yet but in researching for a potential purchase I found that most cameras allow for uncompressed and compressed RAW files so aren't the compressed ones smaller?

I haven't done pictures of birds in flight as I don't either have a fast cameras or a long lens but I would think. The bird is flying high above and is not covered by any trees so it's either front lighted or back lighted. So I would determine the exposure for each and switch between the two settings.

Are you talking about me Chris? I use a cell phone every day but I don't for either the phone or the monthly bill.

I am not so sure about your question. What kind of mount is there on your camera?

The old match the needles metering system.

May be I am wrong here but what is considered match needles metering system? I always thought match needles means there are 2 needles, one moves according to the shutter speed and/or aperture set and the other moves according to the light level. In the K1000 there is only 1 needle. Example would be the Minolta Sr-T series in which one needles moves solely by the light level and the other moves according to the aperture and shutter speed combination. Another example is the Pentax KX where one needle move solely with the shutter speed and the other moves according to the light level and the aperture set.

I was struck with your first sentence and that some one said the sony doesn't "wear out". Wrong. Every mechanical thing that has ever been made will sooner or later. wear out. Not a matter if IF but only WHEN.

I am new to digital and I don't even have my first digital camera yet. When I asked in other thread about which Nikon digital SLR should I buy and someone posted this. So I quote

"Stanley Fleming Joined: Dec 28, 2012 Posts: 240 Loc: Maine/Florida

Take a look at the new Sony cameras - no mechanical parts to wear out"

and this

"ORpilot (a regular here) Joined: Jan 15, 2017 Posts: 455 Loc: Prineville, Or

Since you are considering low light photography, you take a look at the Sony a7s11. It is la low light champ. There are reasonably priced adapters to use all of your Nikon lenses. Go to the Sony site and check out some low light examples."

Those prompted me to check the Sony out as I wasn't even aware of them before I joined the UHH.
