Interesting, huh? ... Clearly, it makes a great deal of sense, if you can afford it - a Medium Format Dig Cam for the same money as a Nikon D5 .... comments .... ?

Yeah, its a nice little camera, but in a entirely different class as a D5! D5 being a DSLR mostly used for action, the Fuji a mirrorless, mostly used for landscape, portraits and everyday shooting. I like that you can shoot it at 1/16,000 of a second!

Isn't that great, S?

Let me tell you, if I had $6500 spare for a camera, the Fuji would be my choice!

Who needs a three pound FF DSLR, anyway?

I for sure wouldn't say no to a D5!

How do we know which camera is top selling?

How about one of each, S?

Only 13 grand ... you can do that in the blink of an eye, right, S?

Ah, but you probably also need a lens or two, for the Fuji, at least (if not, the Nikon) .... so, you'd better be prepared to double that !!!!!

There is a big difference between camera quality and best selling. The links that you have posted have nothing do with sales. They relate to quality, and other issues, not top selling. If you want to claim that a camera is tops in sales provide data that relates to sales, not quality or popularity.

BTBG .... I have nothing to do with Camera Decision ... I just frequent their site ....

I have no idea what criteria they use for their rankings ....

Some of them are obvious - highest resolution, best picture quality, etc.

One can assume they base their rankings on Sales ... but, without actual numbers, it's questionable ....

You know, I live my life fairly simply ... I don't constantly go around turning over rocks, to see what lies under them ... it's not my nature ....

Interesting, yes. But no one should buy the Fuji, because the Hassy is a much better value for money according to the site being only $2,500 more expensive than the Fuji

Lens prices may also be higher. But the problem with the Fuji is that it uses a focal plane shutter. Leaf shutters come with the lens, but allow substantially higher sync speeds with normal flash; which is one of the reasons to get so called medium frame cameras (the other being, of course, the huge number of pixels).
