You are thinking of a smartphone as if it's just a mobile telephone. A smartphone's phone feature is often the least used of its capabilities these days.
This post was written on my Samsung Galaxy s8 Plus smartphone while I have some idle time waiting in the checkout line at my local supermarket.

Sometimes I like to disconnect myself from emails, texts, calls and yes even the internet. Especially when I'm not home! I have used all the features on my phone but I really do tire of the constant "chatter".

It's a distraction. I have a landline and only use cell phone when travelling. I'll admit that for road emergencies it is helpful. Though for many years i survived without it and probably could again.

Great shots! I live near the redwoods but can not get shots as good as yours. I am overwhelmed and can not "focus".

I have the 610 and Nikon replaced the sensor due to spots. It has worked perfectly ever since the replacement.

I've have a D610 (for over 3 yrs) with no oil spot issues... The shutter oil spot issue was with the D600 which the 610 replaced... I did a lot of research about the dust issues and when I discovered that Lens Rentals conducted extensive testing of the D610 after it was introduced and they found no oil issues with the D610 I decided to get one - my primary for everything...

My mom has dementia but I still make her favorite cookies during the holidays and she remembers! Amazing what a taste or smell can do for the mind! Do you share the recipe.....it looks amazing!

Someone will probably ask me what this has to do with photography.
We live in Vermont and my sister lives in Florida. When we grew up
our mother use to make an apple cake. So recently I found the
original recipe and decided to make the cake. Part of my life has
been a hobby of baking. My sister must remember this with fond
memories but the only way she can at least see it was for me to
photograph it and send it to her in an e-mail. Maybe you don't know
that a photograph of a childhood memory can bring tears to your
eyes.

I would suggest that you go back and break this into paragraphs, with a space between each. And add a space after each period and comma.

Even without paragraphs and spaces I thoroughly enjoyed your story. Perhaps some of us will also be inspired to follow your lead!

While driving in town one day , I was behind a mini-van wth a bumper sticker that said "Caution; Children on board" it was driving erratically, weaving slightly and changing speeds. When I finally was able to pass, the woman driver had a book propped up in the steering wheel! I guess she wanted all other drivers but her to drive with caution.
