Photomatix is, in my mind, the most adjustable of them. You set it the way you want it.

Can you get down to those rapids for shots?

Doesn't look like it. People are supposed to stay on the paved paths.

Hey Bill, I grew up just down the road from there and have been to the falls many times. Like your shot of the area below - lots of interest there. Did you take the old highway? There are more falls and not usually so crowded.

We were on a river cruise, so no highway travel except by bus to get there. The fires from last year had many of the trails closed until the areas were cleared and deemed safe. I am looking at a car trip up the south side from Astoria to the Dalles. The lower falls photo looked too green but that is the way it really was. Lot of rain and people. I messed up and left my 15-30 lens at our room, so I was stuck with the 50mm which was just not quite wide enough unless I stood way back.

This is the very bottom of the falls, all you have to do is look down. I was the only one there that was viewing this part of the falls. Everyone else was looking up and doing the "Ahhhh". I have also included the entire falls for you to do your own "Ahhh". The lighting was poor, causing some blowouts but here it is anyway.

You might try looking at your tone mapping (was it on?). I did a quick one with the two layers supplied and here is what I got. Took about 30 seconds with Affinity Photo, no other enhancements were done. I have done some HDR with a single photo and get mixed results. I agree to the use of RAW over JPG. Your results seems to be an anomaly, you might try again. I have never seen PS do that poor of a job.

Affinity Photo does just what you asked, plus is a good competitor for PS and a full post processor. On sale right now for $39.00. Very easy to use for stacks, HDR stacks, Focus stacks, panoramas.

Thank you Dennis. Seems that most young people today are business majors and have no clue where beef/milk/veggies really come from except the super markets. I was raised on a hog farm until I was 12, then into the big city. Since then I have lived in Gunnison for 4 years while at college, then Carpenter, WY with a population of 23. Have always kept my roots in the rural areas and respect those people, unlike our politicians in this state who represent Denver/Boulder/Ft. Collins with all their city talk and completely forget about the rural areas. Ranchers and farmers of this state are going broke because our local gov't imposes way too many city restrictions on them. Thanks again for your kind words.

Visited the kids/grandkids this weekend near Wheatland, WY, and participated in the early summer branding, ear tagging, vaccinations and fixing of the bull want-to-be's. Over 100 calves to work on and it was a 4H project for the young ones to learn how it is all done. My grandkids are 6 and 8. Here are a few photos to record the event. We started at sunrise and were done by 9:30 am. Only a few bruises and jammed fingers and a lot of cows bawling to get their babies back, some not all in tact anymore. Oh, my, now they are a steer. The kids learned that this is just part of what ranching is all about. Next to last pic is of the grandkids, son-outlaw (cowboy hat on the left) and vet daughter (hat and sunglasses). Not sure who is the kid with the pink hat. Granddaughter has the hind legs, grandson is kneeling on the calf's neck. The whole process takes bout 2 minutes per calf. Last pic is of grandkids really into it this time, mom and son on the hing legs and dad and daughter on the head and front legs. The lady with the big hat to the left is grandma also recording the event.

I looked again. (Oops!)

If ‘she’ is Tracey, then Rachel’s 16 - 4 she gives to Tracey = 12. Then 12/4 = 3, a quarter of what Rachel has remaining. Then Tracey has 4+3, which is 7.

BUT

IF ‘she’ is Rachel, ‘she’ is left with 9.

In any case, the ambiguity of the grammar renders the problem useless unless the math teacher allows BOTH 7 and 9 as answers, and conspires with an English teacher to explain it.

If I answered 7 or 9, and either answer was marked incorrect, I would protest!

Unfortunately, too many math text authors and teachers don’t test their problems for clarity. I had an algebra II teacher in 9th grade who wrote lots of word problems just as bad as this one. She had problems with students who questioned her authority. But I was in an accelerated class, and we ALL questioned authority.

We questioned the principal about our math teacher on a regular basis, and provided a steady stream of examples of her inability to write a coherent, logical, unambiguous problem. She was gone after winter break...

So I appreciate the ‘a slap’ answer!

Burk, did you ever "diagram" a sentence? If they would teach that method today, even the fake news could write a coherent article. You are a hoot and I can understand your grammar. Thanks for the old school lesson.

One minute adjustment from Affinity Photo, using a single file in HDR. Nothing else was done. Makes sure to use the "download".

My G2 came with a hood. It makes the lens look gigantic, but very light weight. Don't get a grey lens, it may not come with a hood or warranty.

So why is your picture of a 1965 model?
Note the distinctive shape of the grille halves, and the turn signals in the grilles rather than in the bumper.

I was wondering the same thing. I had a '65 Goat, blue with white top, 389 Tri-power, 4 speed. What a super car and looked stunning.

Does TSA have a website??

The size is not a TSA issue, that resides with the airline requirements. Check your airline website for luggage restrictions. I just got back from Portland, OR, and had no problems checking in with my carbon fiber tripod and all my camera equipment that went in my Lowe Pro Tactics 350 pack.

I purchased a 70-300mm Macro classic Minolta [5 contacts] lens $10 at the Hospice shop. Close examination the filter was coated like my windshield. Conventional nice cleaning only left it smeared. Success was using a 70% Alcohol swab used for sugar test before sticking the skin. Using my eyeglass cleaner solution with Q-Tips... was a futile approach. The UV filter and external of the first lense cleaned with the alcohol wipe well.
BUT !!
The internal side of the external lens had a Mold-spot? I bought a spanner wrench on Amazon for $20 and with some adjustment struggle, got it to fit the lens locking ring. Once unscrewed and removed the mold spot on the inner side of the lens cleaned off well.

The second internal [small] lens was dirty as tho when the zoom was used it inhaled pollution. The same swab method worked well. The lens is worth about $100 so the effort was woth it... besides, it was a fun tech adventure.

How delicate are lens coatings... good ones are "sputter coated"** in a vacuum vs brushed on like eye glass coatings. My feeling is that they are more durable than is generally thought.
"Top lenses have electron beam coatings which are thinner and more even over the surface, years ago they would be done by evaporating chemicals in a vacuum. Also coatings have different wavelengths so in the 1950's they had single coatings, now mostly multi-coated–they are better for wider range of colours."
