Thank you very much, fbeaston; yes, this is the car I would buy for myself.

Thank you, I think, although I'm not quite sure what you mean.

So why is your picture of a 1965 model?
Note the distinctive shape of the grille halves, and the turn signals in the grilles rather than in the bumper.

So neither you nor the owner knows what the car is? Thats some "favorite" I guess.

My favorite from that era (and my first car) was a white ‘65 Pontiac Tempest with nearly identical headlight cowlings to that posted by Rob48 and *genuine* turquoise vinyl upholstery. Of course I ‘pimped it out’ with a Muntz 8-track deck and a leather steering wheel cover.😎

My favorite is in relation to the 60's versions of the vehicle in general, so go suck an egg.

Well they say that, NOT say a '67 and post a pic of a '65. Thats just border line ignorant. Ones posts reveal much about that person so why make such statements? You will always get called on them when you do!

Very nice 65, I've always had a love of A-body GM's. I had a Metallic Green 68 GTO, Ram Air, Hurst CR 4 Spd, 355 Positrac rear, functional scoops (DIY mod), headers, Edlebrock intake, monster quadrajet, 8 track, etc. Great car, great fun, and once I learned how to launch it, quite potent on the drag strip/back roads. Ran in the low 12's street stock on radials in a "full 1/4 mile" 1320 ft over in Bithlo (drag strip just east of Orlando), none of this 1000' or 1/8 mile stuff they do now. Top out around 140. Doesn't sound that fast by todays standards, but in 68-72 there were only a couple cars in our little town that could best it. If I remember correctly, it was approx $4600 off the lot. When I graduated HS in 70 my Dad gave it to me in trade for my very nice 64 Malibu. I wish I still had both of them. I have a couple old faded pictures somewhere, and some excellent memories. Grandma and I became an item while I had those two cars, we still are.
