Texas started using salts of various type on the hwy now days, it will not be long the vehicles will look like beach buggies, sad. Back in the '50s there were fresh water spray units at the
hwy leaving Galveston beach, but unfortunately they eventually went out of business. My Paternal Grandparents and my Dads Sis and BIL lived down there, we made the trip(~52mi) almost every weekend because my Dad was a saltwater fisherman as was my Uncle. You could identify the Galveston vehicles by the rusted bottoms of the panels.
A couple of yrs back I attended a paint&body class at the local Jr. College where we worked on our own vehicles. One of the students purchased a Charger that was original to Chicago area, as he started to replace the rear quarter panels he discovered the previous owner had replace the same quarters but he only added the new pcs on top of the old rotted panels, big surprise.

Well when I was really in to film processing, that would have been in the mid '50s of which me and my bud were to young to buy beer, however I suppose I could have copped a couple of my Dad's Southern Select beers. LOL Actually we had a tough time scraping up coin for processing chemicals for milk money took to long.

A smart businessperson knows how to avoid taxes. As long as you can find a legal loophole go ahead and use it. LEGAL being the key word.

When its time for tax computation rolls around you will notice the people w/the sharpest pencil are former IRS people, and they know the loopholes.

A friend started a business called "The Cracker Barrel." It sold wood stoves and various "country" products. Years later, the restaurant chain began, and they chose the same name. A few years ago, they sued him, and he had to change the name of his store, even though he had the name first. He had never registered or copyrighted - or whatever - his name, so he didn't own it. To this day, I still can't remember the new name of his store.

Yep, keep your liability insurance up to date. I have a friend who has an Industrial Air Mover co. who was sued because the product was similar and unfortunately his insurance guy
failed to renew his ins., cost in the 100s of thousand, even though their product was on the market long before the second came along.
Second example is the recent court battle between two well known cooler, insulated cup mfg. The 2nd troops lost big bucks I would imagine.
Good luck

It looked delicious, but...

Cooking on what looks like galvanized fencing might be unhealthy.

Roger that, could catch Metal Fume Fever if inhaled, but to be safe I'm not using any coated steel. A lot of old hands say it is a bunch of bunk, but there is information out here to the contrary.

True story, local pipe coating co donated pipe for the construction of a pit for
the Fire Dept., they didn't do a burn in just started cookin, some got pretty sick. Blamed it on the coated pipe.
Welding on galvanized material will give of Metal Fume Fever and has been known make one very sick.

The I-45 is between Dallas and Houston, not California. I don't know about the rest of Texas, but there are plenty of toll roads in and around Houston, they are a cash cow for the state. I always say "The" to specify any specific highway or freeway, that is just me. I was born in Texas, but I lived in
Southern California for over 30 years, now back in Texas for the past 9 years.

Actually I think the toll roads are run by a contractor, I doubt the state gets doodle, and likely the same for the bullet train business.
