I had the opportunity to visit their downtown store a couple of days ago ... only buying a few small things but everyone I talked to was extremely helpful and seemed to appreciate the time I took to visit ... Roxanne is a real sweetheart and Bruce went out of his way to be helpful ... look forward to going back next year...!

[quote=repleo]... but I have never understood the attraction of Facebook ...[/y ]
FB has quite a few Groups for photographers ... you can really narrow it down to what you are actually interested in ... one of the better ones that I found is for the 'Canon SX60HS', great pictures, and great chit-chat, seems to be more adult than most (just an example) ...
You can search the Groups for your interests and go directly to them, of course, you still have to put up with a lot of the BS that comes with FB but if you find the groups that match your interests it is well worth it...!

I shop Amazon last after I check everywhere else ... and, if it isn't "Prime" I don't buy it, figure I can do without (unless, of course, it's a great deal) ...

I too have a left-over Kodak Z990 ... the memory card reader does not work, Kodak does not support the camera any longer ... can take about 10 photos on the internal memory ... still great pictures ...

Ever use one of these? Acquired them some years ago; never have used them....are they considered low-end?
I currently use regularly, a Canon AE-1P and a Yashica Electro 35 GSN (its predecessor was my first 35mm camera, got it in SVN in 1966) ... I belong to a number of FB groups dedicated to film and old cameras ...
If you are interested you could start with the "Vintage Camera Users Group" ... !
