your comment "congress should pass a budget" indicates to me that you are ill informed. Congress has passed a budget 96 out of 100 of the past years. The four years that they did not.... The last four years!! In each of the last four years the House of Representatives passed a budget and sent it to the Senate where Harry Reid and the dems refused to even bring it up for discussion.
If the dems had done their job as required by the constitution, we would not be in a partial gov shut-down now.
It's the fault of ALL politicians in Washington, they ALL put their own personal interests ahead of the country's. Term limits is the only way to save the country.

I am in favor of disagreement, if done civilly, it can let to new ideas and mutual understanding . My point was if the Republican party wants feedback on what direction it should , it should not be asking people who are not Republicans. Democrats are constantly telling the Republican party what they need to do to continue to be relevant, it's like the fox telling the hen how to make the hen-house safer.
