Government Shutdown is a Political Attack on the American People

Let me see if I this right. The House has approved a bill to give the 800,000 furloughed GOVERNMENT employees back pay when they return to work. So....they are getting a paid vacation at the expense of the taxpayer. Congress did not give one thought to the damage that will be done to business that depend on things such as our national parks and national recreational areas. 30% of the county where I live is in The Great Smoky Mountain National Park. The very livelihood of the businesses in areas such as Townsend, TN are dependent upon the park and now it is closed in the peak season resulting in layoffs of hotel and restaurant workers. WHO is going give the their BACK PAY?

Would it not make sense that if we are going to pay the government workers anyway that should at least go back to work? This is another example of the stupidity of those that we elected to run our country.

This whole issue is over Republican vs Democrat. And of course, there is that idiot Obama who does not know whether to crap or wind his watch, refusing to compromise in any manner whatsoever. The Dems are protecting a flawed health care plan that is destined to failure and refusing any compromise offered by the Republicans. An agreement by the Democrats to delay the individual mandate would put an immediate end to this madness. But bonehead Reid refuses even to put that compromise before the Senate!

This is nothing more than a political attack on the American people by a childish and selfish group of empty headed idiots in Washington who are totally out of touch with the real world.

The American people are the ones who are damaged by this but no one that works for the government will be harmed.

The health care plan is the damn law.
Like it or not IT IS THE LAW.
Passed by Congress, passed by the SUPREME COURT and passed by the American people when they reelected Obama by 5 million votes.
This whole shutdown lunacy is on the shoulders of the Republican Tea Party loons.
"We have to get something out of this but I don't know what."
A quote from a loon.
The extremists have taken over the asylum.

These actions are another and crystal clear example where our elected officials are choseing party power over the need of the American people..

As is the case with most liberals, you have a complete failure to understand. If the ACA is the LAW then how did Obama change a part of it all by himself (the employer mandate)? And BTW, the Supreme Court DID NOT uphold the law, they only ruled that the penalty is a TAX. Go do your homework.

This shutdown is on the shoulders of an unyielding Democrat majority in the senate who refuses to even delay the individual mandate. Let's see...it's OK if Obama wants to delay a part of the law, but it is NOT OK if the Republicans want to delay a part of the law. You simply don't get it! Oh...and the American people did not pass the ACA by reelecting Obama. The majority of the American people oppose ACR...that is a fact.

Most of your bias remarks appeared to be somewhat flawed.
- Republican's actions are not designed to revised the Affordable Healths Care Act (AHCA).
- There actions are designed to destroy the AHCA.
- Destined to fail? How many times have we tried something and it failed? Then we revised it to work better. In other words let's see if it fails. If it does fail then change it instead of destroying it while holding the business of governing (no funding) hostage before AHCA has a chance to see if it works.
- Congress has great health care why not the same for we the people?

What is a political attack? How can an attack be political?
- It is an out right attack on we the people.

"....empty headed idiots in Washington...."
- That comment makes senes for it is not the total fault of the President or the Democrats
- It's the fault of all of them

"The American people are the ones who are damaged by this......"
SOLUTIONS:
1. A Constitutional Amendment for Term Limits on all politicians and judges, meanwhile
2. During the next election and every election thereafter vote out all incumbents.

However, by next election how soon we'll forget which is why we need to impose Term Limits on all politicians and judges.

Power corrupts. Congress has too much power. They are corrupt. They continue to line their pockets at our expense. They forget that they work for us not we work for them.

Don't blame the government workers. They didn't decide to get paid for not working. Congress is trying to do that. This is another example by Congress dividing we the people.

You forgot the part where the Republicans can't decide whether to fight each other or the Democrats. I'm really getting tired of the escalated bickering of both parties over the last several years, but the Republican in-house fighting has gotten to the point where they have been completely incapable of providing a candidate that does not appear to be a joke compared to the Democrat candidate. Frankly, I attribute that alone to be the primary reason Obama is in office. It's not looking promising for the next election either.

Most of what you say is true. Here's an edited version that spells it out in absolute truth:

Not true. The majority of we the people do not oppose AHCA.
Congress has health care benefits. Why not we the people?
The AHCA is a start. Let's not kill it before it has a chance to work.
Meawhile Congress should pass a budget to fully fund the government without any stings attached instead of holding we the people hostage.

Remember the old Richard Pryor movie "Brewster's Millions" where he ran for office on the platform of "vote for 'none of the above' "? We really need that option today.

I agree with your vote out all incumbents idea. I've been espousing that theory for the last 8-10 years.
