Don't know the shutter count. Looking at this camera it looks like it's brand new, not a mark on it,but as far as it's history is concerned I have no info.

I've never heard of ShareGrid.

You didn't say what prices you were finding. Below are what I found at some of the well established and trustworthy dealers.

Canon 80D can be bought new at B&H Photo for $1100. A better deal there is 80D with EF 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS USM for just $50 more. That lens normally sells for $600 when bought separately. It's the "premium" kit lens for Canon APS-C cameras.

IMPORTANT: All the new 80D at B&H are "Imported", which means they are gray market, so won't have a factory warranty. B&H offers a "store warranty" and is pretty reliable about making good, should there be any problems (which is rare).

B&H has also got used 80D for $710, body only or for $920 with the EF 18-135mm.

Adorama doesn't have any new 80D, but do have a half dozen used ones in very good to excellent condition, priced from $549 to $599.

MPB.com has 25 80D bodies from $609 to $639, depending upon condition and "mileage". One nice thing about MPB is they list how many shutter actuations the cameras have done. The 80D is rated to do 100,000 clicks, so some of the low mileage ones there have a whole lot of life left in them.

UsedPhotoPro.com (Roberts Camera) has four 80D bodies available used, ranging from $570 to $657, depending upon condition.

KEH.com surprisingly doesn't have any 80D right now.

They're out of stock at Canon USA Refurbished, too. The last price on them there was $719 body only or $719 with an EF 18-55mm STM lens (the more basic kit lens).
I've never heard of ShareGrid. br br You didn't ... (show quote)

I was able to buy an 80 d body in like new condition for $460 including shipping. If you can find a better deal than that my hats off to you.

I quickly checked it out, and the prices seemed high, sort of like a Craigslist affair. It will take time to develop, but it has potential.

There were quite a few for sale at a wide range of prices. I bid less than the asking price and my offer was accepted.

What is their return policy? Do they have any warranty options beyond the return policy? What form of payment do they accept and are their any payment protections if the equipment is not in the condition as advertised?

Its a small window. You get 48 hrs to accept or reject the item. After that the money gets transferred to the seller.Payment can be made by credit card or paypal. It was a very positive experience. I was able to text back and forth to the seller, and ShareGrid kept track of the purchase and the communications between seller and buyer.

I have been looking online for a used canon 80 D body in excellent condition. I looked at KEH, Adorama , ebay, amazon and all the usual choices. While searching I came accross a website called ShareGrid. It was designed for people who wanted to rent high end equipment from this community instead of buying it. Now people are able to list items for rent or sale. It kind of works the same way that ebay does as for a the transfer is concerned. I was able to buy the 80d body in like new condition for about $200 less than the prices I saw elsewhere. Its always good to have more options.

Personally, I'd look at possibly a refurbished 80D from Canon. On 09-20-2021 they had an 80D & a 18-55 for $719.00.

I'm looking to buy a used Canon 80 d body. In checking online there are quite a few for sale. I've looked at Adorama, and KEH and they have a few to choose from however when it comes to the largest selection and reasonable priceing a company called (mbp- us) seems to offer the largest selection at very competitive prices. Has anyone heard of them or done business with them.

Almost all of the photos I have hanging on my walls were taken with film processed and enlarged in my basement darkroom. I got much more satisfaction adjusting the print by dodging and burning and using filters than by clicking the mouse on my computer. That being said I gave away my darkroom set up a year ago because nobody had any use for it, including me.

I had a couple of old film cameras that I wanted to sell. One was a yashica T4 super. KEH offered me $375.00 . I checked on ebay and found that they were selling in the $600-$900 range. Sold mine for $650. So check and see what people are paying for your camera then you'll have a pretty good idea of what its worth.
